Scene: Pixiu Restaurant.
Mu Qing steps in because Feng Xin said, “The jasmine tea here is divine.”
Mu Qing only came to prove him wrong.

Mu Qing (muttering):
“If Feng Xin says something’s delicious, it’s usually suspicious.”

(He steps in, sniffs the air, freezes.)

Mu Qing:
“…this can’t be real.”

(In the corner, someone nervously wipes a table.)

L. Broom (stammering):
“G-good evening, sir! I just—”

Mu Qing:
“Spirit form. Wood. With a dash of dust.”

L. Broom (panicking):
“I—I can’t help it! I was born this way!”

(Mu Qing slowly stands, face unreadable, voice ice-cold.)

Mu Qing:
“Great. The tea’s woody — so’s the server.”

(He heads for the door; it jingles as it opens. Halfway out he stops.)

Mu Qing (calling back):
“If some fellow named Feng Xin comes by… ah, never mind. I’ll handle it.”

(to Broom Spirit)
“Sweep after me and I’ll hex you.”

☕ He came for tea. He left with a new broom trauma.
