Hi, I have lived and breathed vintage & classic cars, old lorries, automobilia and more here in the UK since the mid-1980s when I first laid a spanner on the rusting remains of a 1967 Triumph Spitfire. I learnt to drive in a Mk1 Austin Mini, and took my test in our Austin A40 Mk1. I created the Old Classic Car (OCC) site in 2001 to reflect my own interests in the world of aged automobiles and it is updated regularly. I hope that my videos about these characterful old cars, and my obsessions about them, help raise the profile of these wonderful relics of motoring's past. Saturday's upload (goes live 06.30) sees us pay a visit to the Didsbury car show, an event we'd heard a lot about but had not previously visited. The weather was fantastic, and the location - which offered a lot of very welcome shade - was perfect. A huge assortment of vintage, classic and modern classic cars - most of which we'd not seen before - rocked up, so a very pleasant day out indeed with many interesting things to look at.

I've covered a number of VSCC events on the channel over the years, but this one trumps them all I think - the highlight being a mouthwatering assortment of vintage 6C and 8C Alfa Romeos. #vscc

Don't miss Saturday's video where we're in the agreeable surroundings of the Prescott hillclimb as we immerse ourselves in the sights, smells and sounds of wonderful old cars gathered at this August's VSCC Prescott hillclimb. We spend a lot of time in the paddock, admiring all the cars preparing for practice and later timed runs, then head to the orchard car park to ogle an astonishing collection of vintage road cars. After a bite to eat we then amble up to the course itself to watch many many cars competing on the hill. One of the best days on the calendar, no question. Live Saturday 06.30am UK time.
