Hi, I have lived and breathed vintage & classic cars, old lorries, automobilia and more here in the UK since the mid-1980s when I first laid a spanner on the rusting remains of a 1967 Triumph Spitfire. I learnt to drive in a Mk1 Austin Mini, and took my test in our Austin A40 Mk1. I created the Old Classic Car (OCC) site in 2001 to reflect my own interests in the world of aged automobiles and it is updated regularly. I hope that my videos about these characterful old cars, and my obsessions about them, help raise the profile of these wonderful relics of motoring's past. Please subscribe and, if you are able, leave me a few comments.
Many thanks,
Richard Jones.

Hi folks, if things go to plan (...) there'll be a new video landing on your doorstep in the morning, around 7am UK time if YT behaves. It'll be my walkaround of the upcoming Brightwells auction where I peruse ~180 cars, vans & pickups and try and pick a clear favourite (not easy). It's uploading right now, which isn't always guaranteed to work so we'll see how it goes ...

Morning, Saturday morning's video is a close look around the recently (re)acquired Austin 7 special, where I try and understand exactly what went into its build post-WW2. If you've not heard about how this car came back to the garage after 14 years away, please check out the "strange but true" video I put out recently: https://youtu.be/JYVhU8KWcTs Live Saturday 06.30am UK time.
