After years of investing, frugal living, and careful planning, we reached financial independence and set a retirement date that changed everything — 388 days into the future. That number became a powerful symbol of our transition from work and home ownership to full-time travel, and it’s how 388 Days was born.

We recently posted a short video of our time in Alanya, where we explored a medieval hilltop Seljuk fortress, an ancient shipyard, and a whole lot of Roman ruins. Türkiye has some of the best-preserved Roman cities in the world so it's always a treat for us to explore these amazing sites. If you like these pictures, you'll love the video.

We recently posted a video showcasing our road trip through Southern Bosnia and Herzegovina. We won't lie, it was a little stessful driving a manual transmission for the first time in 35+ years up and down windy one-way roads, but it turned out to be such an amazing journey.

It's been a while since we posted. We decided to take a break from YouTube, but we're still travelling and anticipate posting a new video about once a month or so. We just wrapped up about 75 days of travelling through the UK. It was a great trip, except for the fact that we seemed to have coordinated our travel dates with the terrible heatwave that is scorching europe. While in the UK we had an amazing time tracing American and British shared history. It was really quite interesting to visit so many places that seemed to connect back to our home country in strange and unexpected ways. It also felt great to be so warmly welcomed by the volunteers at the historic sites we visited.
We have a few videos to post from 2025 so stay tuned. We will share some still images from our time in the UK as we decided to just enjoy the journey and not worry so much about capturing everything on video.

We spent the last two days traveling from Bosnia and Herzegovina to our current destination and we saw some incredible views from the plane. I (Chris) have been pretty lazy with video editing, but we do have a couple of vides coming from our time in Bosnia and Herzegovina. If it's not abudantly clear, we are now in Türkiye which is a great place to be in the winter. We're in a pretty interesting city - very touristy, but also a city that I haven't seen many westerners visit.

We are back on a train traveling from Poland to Lithuania. The city of Kaunas surprised us with great food, a cute little old town, and two beautiful rivers. Check out our next video which will be dropping on Saturday.

We have arrived in the first city where we will be staying for 30-days. It is also the last city in Poland we will be visiting. Poland has become one of our favorite destinations for all of the reasons we will cover in the video. We were able to fully immerse ourselves in the city and surrounding activities, so much so that we felt right at home. We are really happy with how this week's video turned out, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it.

This week we are in Warsaw, visiting the old town and other iconic parts of the city. We were only there a few days, but we packed in a full schedule and were exhausted by the end of our stay.
