S.AF.E acts as a voice for the sober community by creating safe spaces in fun places! We host sober
sections at non-sober events to connect individuals in recovery & those who choose not to use drugs
& alcohol. Through education and outreach, we are building a community to lead a sober revolution &
creating a place in society for sober culture. Since our founding in 2018, S.AF.E has worked to
assemble a network of local and national organizations to support our mission. These entities impart
required components – substance misuse prevention resources, promotion capabilities, and cultural
competence – to build an adaptive and effective system to achieve and sustain our long-term goals.
We enhance our cultural competence by not only staffing our program with members of the identified
community, but also working with partners that expand our ability to understand and interact
effectively with people who have different values, lifestyles, and traditions.
