I NEED YOUR HELP! I am beginning a new investing challenge, but this time I want to up the odds and select 5 individual stocks (instead of an all world index like last time), but I’d like you guys to select these stocks for me, here is the criteria:

- 1x Dividend Stock
- 1x Growth Stock
- 1x Tech Stock
- 1x British Stock
- 1x Mystery Stock (one that people may not have heard of!)

Oh and I cannot pick any stocks in my portfolio already, so Apple, Tesla, Amazon, Palantir, AMD and Meta are off the list.

GLOBAL MARKET SELL OFF! I just wanted to give my 2c as it's very much an evolving situation that could leave many investors feeling uneasy. Global markets are declining, and declining quick. It was triggered in Japan last night with circuit breakers hit in order to halt trading and stop the panic. However the Japanese stock market closed the day down over 12%. The European and UK markets are also deeply negative so far today, with US futures expecting to see similar pain later today too. This is in part down to something called the "carry trade" where investors have been borrowing against low interest rates in Japan and loading up on US assets - that was until Japan increased interest rates last week by 25bps and caused a huge unwinding of this trade. It's unknown how big this could be (and how much investors are also leveraged up!) but it could cause unrest for the stock market depending on how big of a reaction we see from investors and how many are getting margin calls. I liken it to the abrupt movements of the pandemic, where the market sold off rapidly given the unknowns and I have a feeling based on these early signs that this could very much be a similar situation. However, whilst that may seem threatening in the short term, it's also likely that for the long term investor this becomes an opportunity, just like other market crashes that have come before. On a personal level, for now, cash remains a great choice for guaranteed returns, but there will I believe be an opportunity to deploy more than usual into the market soon. BUY TO LET UPDATE! 🏠

It’s been 1 week since I picked up the keys and the renovation is now pretty much complete!✅

There are a couple of odd jobs left to do, but the estate agents are coming tomorrow to photograph the property and get it listed on the rental market.

I’ve been documenting the process over the past few months, I just need to pull it all together in the edit! Can’t wait to share it with you all👌🏼
