God is doing something new in your life
Someone told me something; be careful and attentive about seasons because God can be doing the thing you prayed for, answering your prayers right before your eyes and you may not know it because it didn't come in the way you expect it. When God wants to bless us sometimes those gifts come in process and some come in little ways before the big ones arrive so it's important to be grateful for where you are and be attentive to what is happening because God is answering you.

Ways to build a relationship with God
Prayer: This is not just a place where we ask God to meet our needs but a place where we communicate with him about everything (it's a dialogue)
Study the word: This is where we get to hear, see, know and understand what God is saying concerning us per time (whenever I open the bible it feels like I opened the heart of God)
Worship: This is where we acknowledge God's sovereignty over our lives and our situation giving him the opportunity to reign in our lives
Study group: A community or company of people who studies the word helps one to grow because we rub minds together and pray to God about everything
Spend time with God: Every relationship needs quality time. So for the bond you desire don't be afraid to spend time with God. My children church teacher once told me that the Holy Spirit desires a relationship with us and we can always achieve that when we spend time together
