In Woot Wednesday Episode 166 I mentioned that I'm going to change the direction of this channel a little bit. I want to mix your tracks! You'll get a free mix and I'll get content for my channel. Free advertising for you and your music to boot! I have a few rules going into this and they may change when things come up down the road. The list is as follows:

1: No cover songs
2: No audio samples from other songs, videos, movies, etc.
3: No bad cussing
4: No AI generated music (I will not have that on this channel)

The music MUST BE YOUR OWN CREATION! And the reason I won't tolerate AI generated music is that there's no way to tell if that hasn't been sourced from already released and copyrighted music. AI requires a data set to train on and I don't want to get in trouble because of an unethically sourced data set so please no AI.

Hi everyone!

I'm working on trying to get back to doing what I do best...mixing and production. It's been awhile since I've posted everything and a lot has happened in the last few months. I didn't have a chance to record a video tonight but I'm hoping to do that tomorrow after work to let you all know what's been going on. Please know that I haven't abandoned you all it's been a crazy few months but I will let you all know what's been happening. Hopefully my annoying neighbors won't be annoying tomorrow.

Hey Everyone!!!
My computer keyboard is dying a slow death. I have to delay yet again any mixing and production videos because I don't want to be in the middle of it and have the keyboard flip out on me. Only thing that fixes it is taking a batter out of it and putting it back. It's slowly been failing over the last few months which is no good. Makes mixing and doing anything in Blender a pain. My son said he could have his but it's being shipped from Wyoming to Colorado and he's not got an idea of when that will happen but I don't think I can wait that long. I'm going to go out and get one this weekend from somewhere so I'm hoping to be back next week with video creation.

I also can't do live streaming right now because of all the construction on the pool right outside my living room window. It's been heavy machinery for weeks on end and they were supposed to pour the first layer of concrete today for the pool deck but that didn't happen. So I do want to do live streams again but not sure when that will be possible other than like on Sundays when there's no construction outside. Things have just been crazy the last month but I haven't abandoned you all at all so always know that. I always let you know when things pop up that are out of my control and other things I have to take care of...that's life in general.

I also started a new channel two weeks ago with my other passion knit and crochet called Needles and Hooks. If you know anyone (or perhaps yourself) that are interested in either of those yarn crafts pretty please send them this link youtube.com/@NeedlesHooks I'm currently waiting on Amazon to send me the 10 foot USB extension cords that I ordered last week. I only just realized a few weeks ago that my webcam has a way to mount to a tripod to do top down videos but I need the extension cords for the webcam and my little ring light in order to make those videos on my comfy table instead of the right side of my desk.

So that's what's been going on and I do hope I'm back next week do start teaching again. I thank you for your patience and I apologize for the lack of content.

It's almost 3pm my time and my internets been out all day. I don't know when it will be back up so I don't think there will be a video to go tomorrow. I'll record but probably won't be able to upload. Added to that YouTube seems to be also having issues today and that certainly doesn't help. I'll keep ya'all updated.

I'm working on trying to get back. I built a new computer in the past month and had some hiccups with it. Had to re-install all my programs and plugins. Tonight I was going to start but had a problem with the headphone jack on my computer not working. I did manage to get that fixed but ran out of time. Should be ready to go for Woot Wednesday on Wednesday and work on that mixing series. Production series will have to wait because this computer doesn't have enough usb ports so I can't plug in my Casio. I ordered an internal hub so hopefully that will arrive soon. I miss you all!!!

I've been missing here for over 2 weeks. My job changed (as you know) to days and I work in a different building. There were 3 of us working in that building up until 2 weeks ago. One person got fired, the other one went back to the building she's supposed to do which left me by myself to clean resident and empty rooms on two floors and anything else that pops up there. So I get home in pain from being on my feet damn near all day long and I'm extremely exhausted. I have no idea if they're going to hire anyone else to help or what's going on as with that place no one tells anyone anything. I also banged up my knee yesterday after tripping on an uneven sidewalk so yeah loads of fun and haven't had time to add new content. I apologize and hope to get back to all of this very soon.

Get your pens, paper, computer, word processor, your DAW, and yourself ready next week! We're going to start a brand new production series and work from a song title to write lyrics, then think about the music, do some pre-production, production with recording the parts, then comes the mixing and the fun stuff (not that writing a song from scratch isn't fun 😉) . My goal with this is not only have a finished song but for all of you to write and finish a song of your own so please find a song title that gets you thinking. I highly encourage you to join the Discord at discord.gg/jhztdHdfzV. When it gets time to start I'll open up a new channel in the Discord so that we can have some wonderful discussions and get help when we need it. Let's make this the best series ever!
