One day, I overheard my husband telling a lady he was counseling:

“Even in marriage, my wife still asks me, ‘What is God saying?’”

And I smiled, honestly, that touched me deeply.

Sis, don’t spend your entire relationship doing only outings, shawarma, yoghurt dates and taking cute pictures.

Once you marry that man your life is implicated to follow the route he goes.

Ask relevant questions.

Ask about vision.
Ask about direction.
Ask about purpose.
Ask how he handles pressure.
Ask what God is saying concerning his life and future.

Even if he dismisses it casually, ask again.

Because attraction can bring two people together…
but direction is what helps them stay together.

It’s better to be on a boat with someone who knows where he’s going…
or at least someone humble enough to follow a compass.

Some people entered marriage because of vibes.
But when life became serious, they realized vibes cannot lead a home.

Wisdom matters.
