➡️ Playing (speed)chess once in a while. Keeping it simple but informative 💡. I won't be begging for subs or likes or comments on every clip, but any support is always welcome and appreciated!!
📌 From September 9th onward, most clips have annotations 📖 added in order for chess players of any rating (though most likely players below 2000 ELO) to learn bits and pieces (pins; forks...) along the way.

⏱ Mostly focused on shorts (bullet games), sometimes video clips (longer, for instance a series of bullet games, and blitz games, as well as puzzle rush).

⏰ *(min.) 1 DAILY NEW short (at least until Nov 28), uploaded at 12PM (noon) UTC+1.*
✅ Clips of brilliants, puzzle rush compilations and livestreams are on top of this regular schedule.

💭 Let me know what your opinions are! I may be open to more suggestions.

✅ I'll be livestreaming sometimes, but I cannot plan them in for fixed time schedules right now just yet.

✅ I have a growing playlist of brilliant moves with explanation :)!

Sooo I was having some nice bishop queen pins to the king lately and just like I have my *Brilliant series* in which I explain the rationale behind the moves, I want to do the same for queen pin strategies. (The upcoming short will be the fifth in the ongoing series, all collected in a playlist: www.youtube.com/playlist?list...)

It will mostly focus on *bishop to queen and king* on the same diagonal, less/barely on rook to queen and king on the same rank/file. As always this'll be applied in real games.

Bishop to queen against king pins are pretty powerful and can land you an overwhelming advantage if performed successfully, which means you will most likely need to prepare the charge with several steps, without explicitly and prematurely alarming the opponent.

The short which features the used image will be public October 21st, 12:00 UTC+2.

At which ELO are you?

Since I started this channel about 1.5 months ago, I have been trying to make my shorts of a better quality. For a while, I have posted clips of my games in real time, without extra notes. (You can see an evolution from the shorts' thumbnails.)

Then I started experimenting with adding some text and evaluation of the position, mainly blunders and great moves. This marks the start of shorts which aren't purely wysiwyg 1 month ago (9 september). I aim to explain at some points not only why I play certain moves (because they give an advantage for instance), but also what might be in the opponent's interest (though I'm still working on that 2nd part more, since I don't want too much text all over).

Adding arrows, "no entry" signs, prison bars et cetera have all served (and still serve) purpose for everyone to understand what is going on in the position.

In some shorts I was experimenting with overlays to add different text colours in one text bubble, because due to a weird reason they have no background colour and are difficult to read.

Setting up the titles has been a blast and actually fun, to diversify and make variations on not repeating everything, but name it according to key moments in the games. The addition of the opponent's ELO is valuable imo.

I'm still far from having chess edits that are perfect imo, but small steps forward are the way to go.
I definitely am planning NOT to add:
1) loud, overused background music like a TON of chess channels
2) a whole hoard of chess tags or senseless titles
3) "SUBSCRIBE, LIKE, COMMENT" type of spam, I am very happy if you would do any of those, but forcing that over and over is tiresome and I want YOU to choose by yourself if you like what you see (or not) :)!

As a 1700-ish ELO chess player, I lose many many many times. 99% of those clips won't be published on this channel (which happens I think in the multitude of chess channels). Still, losses are beneficial to learn from.

Let's grow stronger at chess and feel free to let me know your opinions!

I find no shame in losing to titled players, so just like the one from today I might upload losses later as well.
