Just released a new album! It's called "Reliquary". (It's available for download from my website and bandcamp.) I'll be releasing videos of the tunes on my second channel, and I plan to do some breakdowns/theory discussion about the tunes here on my main channel. Hope you like it!
I am working on an album of instrumental tunes. I thought that I might generate a series of videos where I talk about the tunes, breaking down the music theory behind the music, and talking about the compositional ideas and how they developed. I imagine it would be interesting from a music theory standpoint (what key is this in? what scale is this? why does it go this this chord at this point? etc.) and from a compositional standpoint (why does the B part go to this key? how did I develop this section? why did I choose this scale? etc.) I wasn't sure if this kind of content would fit on this channel, or if it would be more appropriate on my second channel. What do you think?
