Last week, I was in 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐦, standing before the 1,000-year-old 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 - quietly overlooking the Bay of Bengal.

As I spent time observing the carvings - each detail shaped by patience and purpose - I was struck by a simple truth:

What is 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞, 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥 - 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧.

Civilisations fade. Empires dissolve.
But meaningful creation endures.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐞𝐬. 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

Last week I was in Bangalore to conduct a full day workshop on Data Storytelling for an American conglomerate. This full day session was a part of the organisation's leadership development program. It’s heartening to know that storytelling - the new age futuristic skill has marked its spot among all the skills which are a prerequisite to become a great leader!!

I was blessed with a highly interactive & energetic audience, we started the session by initiating a discussion about the expectation each participant had from the session, building it forward through a step-by-step approach towards storytelling at workplace & data storytelling.

Data storytelling incorporates communicating insights from data through narratives & visuals. A well-crafted story camouflages the data, numbers & facts in emotions to present the information in a relatable and intriguing manner.

Relevant industry examples of data storytelling, decoding the techniques to break the numbers to make them relevant & easy to understand along with a template to build a narrative with relevant visuals to make the data pop was shared with the participants. There were team energisers, videos & group exercises for concept clarity incorporated at regular intervals for experiential learning experience.

The session was very well appreciated by the participants, and it brought so much joy for me as a coach that I was able to contribute to the leadership development program of the organisation.
