St. Anastasia was a Roman woman martyred under Emperor Diocletian around 304 AD. Known as the "Deliverer from Potions" or "Healer" for her work comforting and caring for imprisoned Christians, especially those poisoned, she is also the patron saint of weavers, widows, and martyrs. Her revered status is evidenced by her inclusion in the Roman Canon of the Mass, making her one of the few women named in the Canon.
Life and Service

St. Anastasia was born in Rome, the daughter of a pagan father and a secret Christian mother.

After her husband's death, she dedicated her life to caring for the imprisoned. She is particularly noted for assisting Christians who were suffering due to their faith.

She earned the title "Deliverer from Potions" by tending to prisoners and healing them from poison.
