I'm making this as a post to apologize to people who might've been hoping for a new video from me before the end of the year but... I doubt it. I have a job in the service industry and November is going to be absolutely nuts for me for various reasons and December is not looking much better. I'll try to get out something small and quick for the Holidays maybe but it's looking like I won't have much to show until next year.
Still though I am plugging away at my Disney retrospective where I can and I am writing a script for another big game deep dive. So while things will be slow going they are going!
I was thinking of making a video about the Banaza DLC but I'll be real. There sadly isn't much here.
The fact this was clearly meant to be part of the base game and it just got cut out and sold at 30 dollars Canadian is just sleazy. Especially since Mario Odyssey had the Mushroom Kingdom and Luigi's Balloon Hunt as part of the base game. It honestly just leaves me with kind of a bad taste in my mouth. Especially with it coming out literally two months after the initial game and at that price point.
Like it's cool that it's there and it's neat to romp around Banaza's version of DK isle but like it really should not be at the price point it's at. I would very much recommend waiting for a sale or something and even then only if you're like a DK fanatic.
Oh and I guess Void Kong being back and around is kinda funny. I'll admit it's fun to have a more canon version of Bluster who isn't in some pointless love triangle. I just wish there was more on top of all this.
It's with a heavy heart that I hear Nelvana, the Canadian production studio that worked on The Donkey Kong Country Cartoon, has shuttered its doors. I may not have always liked everything they produced but they did in fact make some of my favorite cartoons as a child and even some cartoons that I like to this day.
What a tremendous loss not only for my homeland culturally but for the entire state of animation as a whole.

I'm gonna go silent on the internet until Bananza comes out. I don't want the game to get leaked 4 days before release and see Xananab stabbing Lord Fredrick with a spear or something. So don't expect me to do much until sometime after the 17th of July.
Yea I've been having a hell of a last 4 days and it's pretty much halted any progress on the Tropical Freeze video. It'll still come out before mid July when my target is but yea this has put a downer on me. Oh well hang in there folks!
