Hello all! (This is a long message I wrote for people not feeling positive enough. Read if interested!)
I see many of my friends struggling to stay happy nowadays, do I blame them? Not at all. I feel the same way often. But I find ways to make it better, and I wanted to share my growth and experiences. A lot of people say the internet is bad and makes people depressed and it does, but it doesn’t need too. I was in a tough spot years back since I wasn’t good at communicating and staying calm or understanding in situations (thank you Aspergers, among other things.) but I’m not here to blame my issues, I’m here to tell you that it is very possible to work past them! The internet can be a great tool if used correctly. It surely helped me! If used incorrectly it leads to the opposite of good. But what I did was get into the habit focusing on the positives of the world, and not to say things like “Everyone is rude” after a hard day because that’s generalizing which I’ll tell you right now, there are great people out there just like you in the same place that need a friend too. Once I stepped outside of my comfort zone, got knocked down by rude people, came back up and made more mistakes it all became clear to me.
We are in control of what we do in the end, if we refuse to take a step like I refused to before, we will never see better. It will hurt, I’ll be the first to tell you, but it is rewarding. Trust me! If life had no pain, no one would learn what to avoid. Personally, I’m happy pain exists. It has helped me improve so much. When I look back on myself I made many good positive decisions I wouldn’t of made without pain.
Luckily for the majority of you all reading, you’re at a great age to make mistakes so get out there and mess up, get back up until you get there. No one knows what happens when our time ends. So lets make the best life we can while we have the chance.
No one is perfect, everyone has done things they regret. What’s important is correcting what you’ve done, and if you can do that the right way the good people out there will forgive you because they understand. These are the people you want to support you.
How you act will determine who your friends are.
How you cope will determine your overall state of mind and health.
Even though we can’t change the past we can make a better present, not only for you, but for others around you.
Let’s focus on the good and not engage in the bad.❤️
