These are the words of Divaa Uthkarsha, founder of Project Surya and a visionary leader who took an initiative to protect young type 1 diabetes patients across India who are underprivileged to buy medicines. She started this project when she was 13, inspired from her 9-year old brother who then got type 1 diabetes. She learnt about various medicines, lifestyle changes, the severity of the disease and realised that it is an exorbitant process. This left a lasting impression on her and the vision behind project Surya.

She started at the age of 13 and that resulted in investors not trusting her seriousness towards her mission. She later overcame that by providing alternative solutions to their problem and also suggested that one shouldn’t get discouraged by people’s feedback ,by getting it to their head and to not get disheartened by hearing ‘NO’ initially. She followed a three step action plan: Awareness, Advocacy and Funding and also highlighted the importance of Ground Research and Sustainability for a project.

Personally, it was an eye-opening and reality hitting experience for her. She developed empathy and developed high Emotional Quotient (EQ), becoming more grateful. She also appreciated the, then, 9 years old brother, who handled things beautifully and positively by adapting to changes without attaching a negative aspect to it.

She is also grateful for all the technological advancements in the field of diabetes and hopes to get more advancements in the Indian market with reasonable rates. They haven’t used any digital tools in Project Surya yet, but they do want people to be aware of the symptoms, risk factors, causes and treatments knowing that late diagnosis is a worse scenario, hence they teach whenever they can, in Government school,private institutes, NGOs and in rural areas.

She also dived upon the topic of insulin rotating and its causes, explaining it as a compulsion rather than a choice made by the underprivileged and also mentioned the hazards it caused by example. She started funding her project due to this particular reason, and said it's not easy to afford such a lifestyle with 5%GST. She stated some misconceptions she heard that are mainly due to lack of educational awareness, societal prejudice, misinformation and said it can only be solved by awareness and scientific explanation.

Yep. You heard me right. I don't know anything about a Podcast. Because Podcasting is not everyone's cup of tea.

Producing a Podcast is not just about speaking for hours in front of the camera for an hour or so, it's much more. The Difference between just a Podcast and a Good Podcast is vast. So vast that even after shooting more than 30 Episodes, I still lack many skills that I need to make a high quality podcast.

Podcasting requires

1) Monetary Investment
2) Self Investment
3) Time Investment
4) Creativity

and many more things I don't know about. Podcasting is Cult.

C- Collecting
U-Understanding
L- Listening
T- Teaching

These 4 things are the most important factors that makes or breaks a Podcast Host.

The one mistake that I made and I still make is not producing crisp audio. In some episodes, the audio is okay, in others, it's very bad. I am still in the process of learning Audio Editing and this is the biggest disadvantage which keeps me behind.

Hardik Soni always helps me with editing and is my mentor who helped me learn so much about Film Production and Film Editing and even he says so that if you don't fix it soon, you will give your competitors gets ahead of you.

And this also reminds me of the fact, that all of us have so many mistakes to learn from in our life and just like Dhiti Desai Ma'am said in the Cybersecurity class, that we do give permission and access to so many apps to our cameras and microphones and to cookies without knowing the affects of it and the fact that our data is not ours anymore and affects us so much,

Our mistakes also and small imperfections can also be not ours anymore but, it can come to others in the form of their biggest opportunities with the Amalgamation of the Right Timing and the Right Skill.

To conclude, always learn at every point of life where you, obviously have fun too and party hard, but try to learn something from your life too.
