Trucking Made Successful

Trying to figure out the trucking industry one mile at a time.

Trucking Made Successful

Guys. I have a call with Highway today at 12:30 PM CST regarding their new feature that allows brokers to filter out carriers related to Non Domiciled CDL drivers. Wanted to open the comment section up to any questions you might have regarding this feature so I can ask them on your behalf. Let me know!

Gosh...it's crazy that I have to post this but alas, here I am. I SINCERELY apologize if I misread your comment and snap back...this happens from time to time because it's hard to figure out genuine vs sarcastic comments. I just accidentally did this to someone here and after re-reading, eh... 😖 Not a great feeling.

So if I ever was being "smart" or "sassy" or "snappy" to any of your comments for seemingly no reason, I apologize. I misread/misinterpreted something.

It's no secret that this industry changes you, and that social media changes you on top of that. I do my best to stay who I am- someone who sees the best in people and assumes the best, not the worst, but sometimes it gets challenging. That being said, I will ALWAYS take responsibility when I do something wrong.

Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours. Even during challenging times, we have to remember that there is a lot to be thankful for because our work is not WHO we are, it is WHAT we do.

Wishing you all a beautiful day!

Happy Thursday guys. Well, because of how challenging the market has been this week, I am not able to make a VIDEO on the market update as I have zero time, but I do have all the data for you guys here:

www.truckingmadesuccessful.com/market-data/full-ma…

This has got to be the most difficult week this year in terms of booking freight. Perhaps it's just me, perhaps it's the market. But considering the data, it's not just me.

Update on the broker interview that I wanted to do: brokers do not want to talk about the market or answer questions related to transparency, etc. So...I will be on the lookout for folks who USED to be freight brokers and are ready to speak on the reality of what it was like. You guys warned me...you were correct. That's why I adore this community.

Keeping you guys posted.

Thank you to the OOIDA for taking the time to chat with me and for inviting me to their podcast. This chat is the best explanation I can give of why I do what I do on YouTube: https://youtu.be/qxFyfVqGtZA?si=35pd2...

I will, once again, have to make this as crystal clear as I possibly can. I do not insert my opinion when it comes to reporting on news. The reason? I don’t feel the need to impose my views on you guys, and I would much rather hear your thoughts and opinions. I will also report news as it is presented, neutrally, talking about what I found out. I know I am doing a fantastic job of this because under a single video, I often get comments of some accusing me of being on one side and others accusing me of being on the other side.

Where do I offer opinions? Broker transparency, the driver shortage myth, market updates. I will also sometimes express disappointment about fraud or illegal activities pertaining to this industry (Chameleon Carriers for example).

I do not rejoice at news, neither do I get disappointed by them. Not publicly. Any opinions/emotions are reserved for my family. My job on this channel (which is a hobby that I love) is to report what is already written. I am acutely aware that regardless of what is happening out there, here we all have one thing in common: trucking.

That’s all I have to say.

Question: Would you want me to do an interview with a broker to get more details about their side of the trucking world? If so, what burning questions do you have?

No I did not delete the no name given CDL video. YouTube decided to remove it because of a screenshot of a public x post which shows examples of folks that have a first and last name that all of a sudden get changed to a mononym. Working on it.
