Hi, I'm Ryan, based in the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park in Wales.
I've loved the outdoors from a young age and started camping when I was thirteen. Since launching this channel in early 2024, I've kept things simple—sharing the places, adventures and experiences I genuinely enjoy.
Most of my videos focus on hiking, wild camping and bushcraft-style camping, but you'll also find other content showcasing the beauty, history and hidden gems of Wales. From circular pub walks and historic landmarks to lesser-known locations, there's always something new to explore.
My dog Toby joined me on many of my adventures and quickly became known as "The Star of the Show." After suffering a severe spinal injury in early 2025, he made an incredible recovery and now makes the occasional guest appearance.

I've spent the last 8 days in work daydreaming about escaping to the mountains to enjoy this glorious spell of weather we've been having.
So naturally, on my one day off, the summit of Fan Gyhirich treated me to wind, rain, and an evening confined to my tent.
Thankfully, the forecast is looking much better for my next couple of weeks off. I can't wait to get back out there!

Afternoon all
Just a quick update. I've finished filming my first circular pub walk, but work's been so busy that I haven't had time to get it edited, so there won't be a video tonight. Sorry about that. I'm hoping to have it ready for next Sunday.
This one is the Three Castles Walk in Monmouthshire, and honestly, it's a cracking walk. The scenery is stunning, there's loads of history to discover around the three castles, and it all finishes at a lovely old country pub for a well-earned pint. I had a brilliant day out filming this one, and I can't wait to share it with you all next weekend.

After the great response to my recent post about introducing circular pub walks with a bit of history thrown into the channel, I've started planning the very first one.
It's a beautiful route with some fantastic scenery, plenty of local history, and of course it'll finish with a well-earned pint in a proper historic pub.

I've been thinking about bringing something back that I used to do long before I started the channel – circular pub walks.
There's something special about heading out for a good day's hike, taking in some great scenery, maybe visiting a few historical sites along the way, then finishing in an old country pub with a well-earned pint. Even better on a cold winter's day when there's a log fire going.
Camping will always be the main focus of the channel, but it's not always possible to get away overnight every week. Rather than miss an upload, I thought it might be nice to mix in the odd pub walk. It still gets me out exploring, still tells a story, and lets me share some great places that I probably wouldn't otherwise.
Let me know what you think. Would you enjoy seeing the occasional pub walk with a bit of history thrown in alongside the camping adventures?

New video out tonight at 17:00hrs!
A night under clear, star-filled skies in the Black Mountains. I set off from Llanthony Priory with a blood orange moon lighting the way, hiking through the darkness until sunrise over Bannau Brycheiniog. A simple night hike with some incredible views, a few interesting places along the way, and the peace that only comes from walking through the mountains while the rest of the world sleeps.

I hiked 20 miles across the Gower to what might just be the most scenic beer garden in Wales. Great views, a well-earned pint, and a cracking day on the trail.
