You see what really did it for me - and why I had to write 'Promises Made', was the keeping of the person hanging on until it was too late for them to start over again - but then doing that exact thing with someone else. It seems very cruel to me.🥲

I think if it's over, it's over. Just set each other free. What do you think Friends? Drop your comments and thoughts below - I wanna know!!🙏❤️

Hey Everyone!! I hope you all are doing well!!❤️

As you know, I just released 'Promises Made', almost one week ago - the 3rd new single for 2026. I can say the song is doing amazingly well with close to 30k YT views here already!!!😮 The feedback so far has been exceptional!! So, as always, a big huge 'Thank you' to each of you for helping to make it all possible!!🙏❤️

I was asked if the song is about me. In short, no, it's not about me - but it is about someone I know. It is a true story.

'Promises Made' is not a general or romantic type of love song but a more precise and wounded story. It's a song about residual heartbreak - the kind that still cuts long after the storm has passed. Like the weather that moves through the song and the video, love can arrive with force and end up leaving nothing but wreckage. 💔

if you haven't yet heard or watched 'Promises Made' here is the link:👇

Riiver Brukes

Finally!! Very happy to let you know that following 'Little Boxes' in March, and 'Rebel Soul' in June, I've just released my latest new song, 'Promises Made'!! 😮🔥

'Promises Made' is a true story of residual heartache that followed the break up of a longterm relationship. For me, it was a story that had to be told because it was not just the break up that was so gut wrenching for this person, it was seeing their ex, whom they still loved, living a life they were denied, with another person.

Although, the hurt party has since moved on, they were sadly too old to start over with children etc - so for them, the hurt is eternal.💔

In the video, I use elements of weather to describe not only the multitude of lies and deception ('tears in the ocean', 'sand in the desert'..) that had been told but also to help visualize the turbulent, force of nature that can often come with broken hearts and unfulfilled promises.🌊

On the back of this song, all I'd say is, its ok to fall out of love - it happens - but perhaps just leave the person (as painful as that may be in the short term), rather than drag it out and ruin their life totally.🥲

If this song resonates with you in anyway, please drop your comments and stories below - I do read them❤️

Fancy! Woot!! What do you think Friends? I'm going to be using this image on some of my new cards. I think it's kind of groovy?!🔥

Also, as you know, I've been working on some new artwork, which I hope to be able to share with you over the coming days. I hope that you like it.

Hey Rebel Souls!❤️ As usual, I've been thinking about lots of things. Not all bad, not all good. Its an endless rollercoaster inside my head Friends. 🤨 Fuel for all I have to say.

I do get to thinking about injustice and inequality often - I mean the real, non-selective type. But because I'm also a realist, I understand things are not as easy as we'd like them to be.

But I wondered, what is it that pushes your buttons? What is it that bothers you most right now? Is it the world around you and what's going on or is it closer to home and more everyday things?🤔

Let me know in the comments - I'd like to know! Maybe there is a new song hiding in there!😮.

For now, have an awesome Saturday and weekend Friends. Look out for some new shorts and vid's I'll be posting over the coming weeks as we wait for my next release in September!😮. Yup!!🎉

If you haven't subscribed and turned on the notifications - please do! Lots more to come!🛎

Hey Friends! It's been a week already!! How time flies! I hope your week has been awesome. ❤️
I've been busy working on some art stuff and also some music - getting ready for a show or 2 which I am looking forward to! Recent years have mean't not much in the way of live stuff as I chose to focus on writing a few albums first. We're on album #3 - so far so good Friends!! Let's see!!
That said, I should have some live stuff to post soon - I'm v excited about that!❤️

In the meantime, with all that is going on at the moment around the world, I thought it might be interesting to revisit one of my songs from Album Deja Vu called 'Little Black Book'.

Its a rock anthem I actually wrote it in 2022 and it was released in early 2023 - then I decided to include it on album 'Deja Vu' (2025) as it featured our late Friend and drummer, Ben.❤️

If you haven't heard it yet, here is the link to 'Little Black Book' music video👇

Have a great rest of your day and I'll hopefully see you back here in a couple of days!!
Keep smiling Friends!🔥

Hey Rebel Souls!!❤️ I hope you are all doing well and managing to enjoy a great weekend!

For my soccer fans out there - its been an interesting World Cup!! Definitely different but nice to see so many Countries participate.⚽️

Thoughts on the final?🤔

It's been almost 4 weeks since 'Rebel Soul' was released and its still out there doing v well! I hope it will continue to and I ask that you please keep watching, listening and sharing as much as possible!! 👇

Link for 'Rebel Soul'
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmz8K...

Attached to the photo (on the bottom left) you will see that I finished the '100% H.I.' (Human Intelligence) logo! Yay!😁 Thank you for your help Friends - it turned out pretty cool!!
I put it on the photo so we could see it - but also because there are no filters or A.I enhancements on this photo. Just plain old me. 😂

In a world that is increasingly awash with fakery and really, dishonesty - I made my choice a long time ago and its not going to change. If you are looking for real human individuality, talent and authenticity, you've come to the right place.

One of my earlier songs, 'She's An Illusion', is all about the fake-ness of celebrity and how it's not all as it seems. If you haven't seen it or heard it yet - check it out:

Coming up, I have some interesting behind the scenes clips and some chats that I'm going to be sharing with you starting on Tuesday evening so , I hope you will stick around and bring your Friends over as well - lets get this party started!🎉

Don't forget to drop your comments below! I'm always very happy to read them!!

Have a great upcoming week Everyone and I'll see you on Tuesday!

Hello Friends!!❤️ I hope everyone is doing great!

Firstly, a big thank you to everyone for taking the time to help me decide on the 'H.I.' logo!! It looks like there is a clear winner - the gold and red! Woot!! I'll continue on and finish now! Thank you again! 🙏❤️

As you know, my latest song 'Rebel Soul', was released 3 weeks ago - so it is still a baby making its way all around the world! I'd like to give a big shout out to all the stations - and listeners, who stream and continue to support me and my music - you guys rock!!! Thank you so much!🔥

As for the Music Video...well, ,pretty awesome I'd say!! With close to 130,000 views in those 3 initial weeks, that's totally amazing! And means that 'Rebel Soul' now tops the list for most watched music video on the channel!😮❤️ Yay!!🎉

2nd on the list is....'Little Boxes'!! This is really great and means that between those 2 songs/MV's alone....we are quickly approaching 1/4 million views since end of March!! Thats so cool!🔥

So another huge thank you to everyone!! Keep pushing on Friends - let's see if we can keep the ball rolling - plz don't forget to like, share, comment and subscribe!! It all helps to nudge things along!❤️

Any thoughts on the new music for 2026 so far? Drop thoughts in the comments please!! Lots more still to come - so, I hope you are enjoying!
