EXPLANATION FOR WHERE I'VE BEEN (AND WHY THERE'S BEEN NO VIDS)

Throughout the better part of last year, and the start of this year, I've been working on creating a new style of GTA video that's basically never been done before. The idea is to create animations within the GTA 5 map (Yes, I've recreated the entire GTA 5 map in blender) using the different vehicles and weapons from the game—with my own little goofy character that I've created—to create commentary-esque videos about whatever topic I'd be covering.

The rigging of my character, creating the various scenes I'll be using and then obviously, creating the map in its entirety have been the hardest, most time consuming part of this process. Learning everything from scratch, and then implementing it into something I can actually use and re-use in the editing process was an insane challenge.

Thankfully, all this foundational stuff that I needed to create has been completed since the start-ish of this year.

My first plan with this style was to create a really huge stunting documentary using Blender to recreate different famous stunts across the years, and just using it for general visual stuff. BUT, that turned out to be a much bigger project for my first attempt at an animation-style video... So, even though I'll be coming back to it, that's being put on the back burner for now.

SO, the NEXT plan was to create a video about a vehicle I've really been enjoying as of late—the Scramjet. I've already made a small portion of the intro for this video, and it's genuinely already the best thing I've ever created. And, as I get better with animation, it'll only get better. I've basically proved to myself that I can do it, and it WILL work... (and all my work hasn't been for nothing lmao)

BUT! I think it makes more sense to make a video in a style people are already familiar with, and one I think will perform well views wise. Obviously, even though I'm super confident in this new video style, it's a little daunting making and dropping a video in a whole new style that is super time consuming and I don't know exactly how it will perform... Could be great, could be a disaster...

SO! I will be making the sequel to the incredibly cool and very epic (and more importantly, the very well performing) Norm Video.

I've wanted to really get this one right and elevate the next one from the last, because I love Norm dearly, and he deserves to exist in a video that is next level. Best part about this video is that I can flex my blender animation stuff in a relatively stress free, less time consuming environment to get you all a little taster for what's coming.

I've only now just finished the script, mainly just because I've been redrafting and trying to get it perfect—have it flow well, make the challenge interesting, carry on Norm's story in a way that's worthwhile and entertaining, etc. I've had super hard writers block trying to do all of this, but now, I have actually finished it and I'm super happy with it :)

In short, the Norm Part 2 video—Can You Become Rich As A Normal Person in GTA 5—is coming soon. AND... It'll be MUCH better than the last one, I can promise you that.


IN CONCLUSION:

I really want to push the envelope for what GTA content—and maybe what YouTube content in general—can be, and I think I might really be close to having a good crack at it with what I've been working on. It's took a lot of time to get everything working, but now, all the foundational stuff is ready. I wanted to make a big video with this style, but realized it was too big and couldn't handle it just yet (lol) tried something smaller (lol again) but decided to work on something a little safer to act as a catapult before committing myself to a brand new style.

Big things are coming, can't wait to share it with you all 😎

I can't wait to show you my next video... I've been working on some stuff that will absolutely transform the style of the channel--not only in editing, aesthetic and design--but in content as well. It'll open up so much more for videos and it'll absolutely bring everything to a new level.

This is gonna be a banger and it's going to easily be the most in-depth and highly produced video I've ever made.
