Ideally , Trump administration would have wanted the following outcomes (broadly) from the Iran campaign:

1. Decimation of Iran’s war fighting capabilities
2. Removal of current regime with a more compliant one which would not carry out further enrichment
3. Recovery of already enriched uranium
4. Control over where its oil gets exported , help contain China

The USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) returned to its homeport of Norfolk, Virginia, on May 16, after a record-breaking 326-day deployment.

This 11-month global mission spans the Atlantic, the Caribbean (supporting operations involving Venezuela), and the Middle East (enforcing blockades and conducting air sorties against Iran).
Its deployment sets the record as the longest continuous deployment for a U.S. aircraft carrier since the Vietnam War.

A typical modern U.S. Navy aircraft carrier deployment is scheduled to last 6 to 7 months (roughly 180 to 210 days).
