Kale for dinner? Deep tissue massage it like it's getting ready to fight in the MMA and Joe Rogan's the MC .
Now's your time to get rid of any unwanted aggression. Rip that kale like it's junk mail! All those fibers that break down in the kale will thank you and so will your palate.
It's a nutritional powerhouse that's been an underrated for decades because it's been mishandled.
And yeah, as far as the garden grows it can take the heat and stand the cold. A definite for your fall garden this year.

Fermenting some hot honey garlic in time for late summer cold season. I'll be taking 1 tbsp a day as a preventative measure.
The cayenne peppers are homegrown, organic garlic, and honey from a friend. Grateful for all these blessings!

Rose hips and rose petals are both so wonderful in their own ways.
I have rose hips (which are the fruit of the rose) on the right in the freezer to stimulate frost which will bring out the sugars in the hip. My rose hips do not get red. They stay in orange color. They are filled with more vitamin C than citrus could ever hope to have. I will process them into a powder and then make capsules out of them or if I'm feeling adventurous I could process them into a jam.
Rose petals are not only fragrant, but are wonderful for making rose water which can be used as a refreshing spritz on your face or linens. Roses are astringent and so are very good for your skin.
There are multiple other uses for roses as well besides setting in a vase. For example, the rose water could also be used in drinks.
Not all roses are the same, however. Store-bought roses have typically been sprayed with chemicals prior to or post-harvesting.

The guy was by my front door. He's a lot smaller than he looks. By his size, I'm guessing he's a male as the females are much bigger.
Praying mantises are awesome! They eat insects that are considered pests in the garden. However, the downside is they will eat butterflies, caterpillars and bumble bees.
This guy might be praying for a wife (of course I'm saying this tongue-in-cheek), but a wife that doesn't cannibalize him. Per Google about 13 to 28% of praying mantis "marriages" end up with the female eating the male.
I guess that's why there's no divorce attorneys in the praying mantis Kingdom. LOL

My version of potato chips for my chick girls! After the rain, there's lots of worms on the sidewalk so while I'm walking the dog, I scoop them up. No live worms were harmed in the photographing of this picture. In fact, if I see a live worm, I help him to safety, not caring that my dog is giving me look!

In the here and now. I bent down to pull up this clump of grass growing in a crack in my driveway.
So grateful I was in the moment, otherwise I would have missed the beauty of this ladybug.
