As the year comes to a close, I want to thank everyone who watched, commented, and supported the channel this year. I did my best to cover a wide range of topics from the effects of colonisation on Puerto Rico to nuclear proliferation to the occupation of Western Sahara. It has been incredible to see the level of engagement and thoughtful discussion around these videos.
Some of you have noticed that certain videos seemed to get limited reach. It’s hard to say exactly why, but hopefully that won’t continue into 2026. Regardless, your support, sharing, and comments make a real difference, and I appreciate it.
Looking ahead, I’d like to hear from you:
What was your favorite video this year?
What topics would you like to see covered in 2026: specific regions, conflicts, historical events, or even basic explainers?
Currently one of my main goals with this channel is to push back, in a small way, against the amount of low-effort and slop content that increasingly dominates this platform.
My aim is to produce videos that take the time to get things right; drawing on credible sources, providing historical context, and explaining complex issues clearly with graphics and maps to help viewers situate themselves, and hopefully an increasing amount of testimonies from people involved in the events to show how they affect real people, so that what you’re watching is in some way useful. Not to tell you what to think, but to give you the tools and background needed to better understand how the world works and why certain events unfold the way they did and continue to.
My bad if this was a bit of a long ramble. Thanks again for being here, I’m looking forward to showing you what’s next and hearing from you, and have a great end of the year!

I have published a new video on Israel's nuclear weapons program and how they collaborated with France, Apartheid South Africa, and the United States to become the world's only undeclared nuclear power.
Let me know what you think about the video here or in the video's comments. If you have any suggestions for future stories to cover feel free to share them.

New video out on the Falun Gong, their origins and battle with China, and the $100+ million media empire they've built. This one isn't age restricted or demonitised 🥳

So I'm working on a video explaining the Khalistan movement, Operation Blue Star, and the Sikh Diaspora. Do I have any Sikhs or South Asians in my audience that would like to share some stories or opinions on the matter. Or to let me know what issues you think need to be explained around this issue or what foreign media normally gets wrong?

Last time we offered this deal it was a massive success and so for the month of September Nebula is offering a lifetime membership deal. The deal is you pay $300 once and get access to Nebula forever, no matter what, no takesy backsies. This isn’t the most economical deal, the annual subscription for $30 a year is. So if you want the best deal I’d go with that. This deal is for those of you that want to support creators and what we’re trying to achieve with Nebula. We want to make a platform that is creator owned, with Original smart highly produced content. We want to build a platform that isn’t about generating clicks no matter what.
Recently Nebula has been laser focussing on Nebula Original, highly produced content that’s only on Nebula and would normally be beyond the budget for normal creators to make. Lifetime memberships are a great way to fund those projects right now. Nebula already has a healthy amount of monthly and yearly subscribers which means as a platform we don’t need to take on any outside funding or answer to predatory investors. Everything the platform makes goes into paying the creators, producing content, and improving the platform. Lifetime memberships are a way for us to get a lump sum without sacrificing Nebula’s independence.
The Originals that have been created so far are already impressive, so I’m really looking forward to seeing what is possible with a bigger budget and even though I haven’t produced an Original yet, the possibilities they present are incredible and I have a ton of topics I know could only work as Nebula Originals.
We’re also significantly improving the quality of the Nebula app. For example, we just added support for LG TVs and Roku this year.
When you sign up for a lifetime membership, your payment get split 3 ways. First, part of your membership goes directly to the creator, me. Another amount goes towards fixing bugs and adding features to Nebula. And lastly it goes to funding Nebula Originals.
The money that makes these projects possible comes directly from the people who sign up to Nebula, our customers are the investors and so the platform answers to them and their desires rather than a boardroom.
I care about Nebula. I care about its success. I love the team behind it and think we’re doing incredible work. The safety it provides me and this channel is invaluable. If you believe in it too and want to be a part of its success for years to come and a Nebula Lifetime Membership sounds interesting click here go.nebula.tv/lifetime?ref=cogito. This is for the people that truly care about what we’re building here and want to support it beyond the regular subscription. For most of you though the annual $30 a year subscription is still the best deal and you’ll get access to everything Nebula has to offer through that deal and this channel will still get a part of that too.
No matter what choice you go with, I appreciate you watching!

The next people we'll be covering are the BENGALIS of Bengal. So just like for the previous peoples videos I'm asking for your help. If you are Bengali either in Bengal or the diaspora feel free to send me an email at cogitoinbox@gmail.com. I need some information from actual Bengali people that might be left out of all of the books and documents I will be using as sources.
So please tell me about your favourite historical events, food, movies, culture, stories, books, poems, architecture, landmarks, etc etc etc. Or if there are some annoying misconceptions/stereotypes that you would like me to avoid or correct.
If you don't want to email me you can leave some comments below to. I will be reading them!
