Deeply saddened to hear about the tragic stampede near Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. We have lost 11 precious lives, and over 30 others are injured. In the aftermath, politicians, police authorities, and cricket board officials will likely point fingers at each other. But I just have a couple of thoughts to share:
1. We fight and struggle every day for a healthy and prosperous life — but if life itself is lost in the name of celebration, what meaning does that celebration truly hold?
2. Are we living in a world where madness and chaos take precedence over human lives? Celebrities and politicians have their security in place — but for the rest of us, it’s up to us to define our own boundaries and act responsibly.
Not just for our own safety, but so that those who love us can continue to live in peace and happiness too.
May all those who lost their lives rest in peace. 🕊️🙏
