The Authorpreneur Podcast with Amelia D. Hay

Hi, I’m Amelia and welcome to The Authorpreneur Podcast channel.

I write mysteries under the pen name A. D. Hay and I’m the author of of The Lawn, Suspicion, and Duplicity—the first three stories in the James Lalonde Amateur Sleuth Mystery series. The Candidate is the first book in the Rookie Reporter Mystery series. I'm also the author of the stand-alone murder mystery The Locked Room.

And, I’m the host of The Authorpreneur Podcast.

The show acts as a virtual writing and business coach for fiction writers. Every Thursday, I will teach you how to develop a story idea, create compelling characters and outline your novel. Learn how to write your first draft, revise your story, self-publish, establish your author platform, and reach readers. Season one of the podcast is on Plot and Story Structure, and the upcoming season two will zero in on the elements of a story.

Thanks for watching, and remember to subscribe to be the first to know when I publish a new video.

As an audiobook listener, how do you feel about ai-narrated audiobooks if they are ethically labelled in the store?

Firstly, I apologise for not releasing the last episode on "What is a Story Beat?". I just logged on to the backend of YouTube and noticed the episode was unlisted and not published. While on holiday in the US in April, I edited the video and uploaded it to YouTube, but I caught the flu twice and forgot to publish it. 🫣

I'm so sorry.

Unfortunately, the May Behind-The-Scenes Author Diary is going to be a little late because I'm starting the edit again, from scratch, for the third time. I'm sorry; hopefully, this will be the last time I edit this episode. 🤞

Last week, I recorded an interview with Troy Lambert from Plottr about Plotting and Story Organisation Techniques. In this interview, we discuss how to use Plottr as a pantser and outliner, editor and create a story bible.

So, keep your eyes peeled for that episode. It will be published within the next two to three weeks.
