오랜 기간동안 복잡한 이유들로 힘들어하는 친구들이 많다. 나는 누군가에게 사랑을 주거나 안식처가 되어주는 것으로 가장 큰 삶의 원동력을 얻는다. 그들을 한치 앞도 안보이는 어두컴컴한 깊은 곳에서 꺼내줌을 [US]로 표현했다면 [내 곁에]는 제목 그대로 내 곁에 머무르며 또는 기대며 편안함을 찾길 바라는 마음으로 작업한 곡이다. 물리적으로 나와 떨어져 있더라도 이 곡을 들을 때 만큼은 모든걸 내려놓고 내 어깨에 기대도 좋다.

Many friends are out there struggling for complicated reasons. Sharing love and being a haven for them have been the biggest motive of my life. Whereas my previous song <US> represented pulling them out of deep darkness, <Be around me> is a song I wrote hoping they stay by my side and find their comfort. Even though you may be physically away from me, hope you put everything down and lean on my shoulder while listening to this song.
