Planet Voyagers Plus

A collection of the remarkable travels, discoveries, and inventions of the fictional space organization; The Planet Voyagers and the individuals within it. All with the assistance of artificial intelligence. I hope you appreciate these otherworldly journeys as much as I enjoy creating them (I've been cooking up the lore for the past 2 to 3 years). I cant thank you enough for supporting my ideas and execution. As a new (solo) video creator, these videos take me forever to make. From creating the idea, generating the pictures, and animating said pictures, then editing everything together and coming up with an interesting way to fit all the puzzle pieces together. Though I'm willing to do so because I have faith in myself and my ideas. So thank you for showing any kind of support. We are all gonna make this a wonderful community. I can't wait for y'all to go on more of these cosmic journeys with me. More coming soon!

Planet Voyagers Plus

Species Name:
•Scientific name: Hydropithecus versatile
•Nickname: Akanthus

Physical Characteristics
•Height: ~6 feet (1.8 meters)
•Weight: ~180–220 lbs
•Skin/Fur: Waterproof dark gray fur, slick when submerged; rootlike tendrils around the head help detect movement in the water.
•Hands/Feet: Webbed fingers and toes, allowing strong aquatic propulsion; claws for climbing reef structures and coastal rock faces.
•Eyes: Large, blue-gray eyes adapted for low-light underwater vision.

Habitat and Range

The Akanthus inhabits the warm coastal lagoons and subaquatic forests of Parlo-Sefron’s equatorial belt. These areas are rich with bio-luminescent flora and nutrient-dense sea plants like the orange kuraleaf — a staple of the Akanthus diet. With semi-aquatic abilities, they spend nearly 60% of their time submerged, while returning to shore for rest, mating, and certain social rituals. Coastal cliff caves serve as communal nests for clans, offering protection from predators and storms.

Behavior and Intelligence
Akanthus display high-level problem-solving and tool use, akin to Earth’s early hominids. They've been observed using sharpened shells to harvest hard-shelled crustaceans, and tying kelp into nets to trap prey. Their social systems are matriarchal, and complex vocalizations — both above and below water — suggest a proto-language.
They live in loosely organized clans of 12–20 members and exhibit strong familial bonds, often raising offspring cooperatively.

Diet - Omnivorous:

•Plant-Based: Kuraleaf, reef-fruit pods, bubble kelp, threadspines
•Animal-Based: Crustaceans, reef worms, shallow-water fish, and occasionally small coastal mammals
The Akunthas are foragers by day and hunters by twilight, using a keen sense of smell and a sonar-like clicking mechanism to locate prey underwater.

Life Cycle
•Lifespan: ~80 Earth years
•Reproduction: Mating occurs during Parlo-Sefron’s biannual moon convergence, a time of heightened ocean tides and fertility across the biosphere.
•Offspring: Females birth one child every 6–8 years. Akanthus young are highly dependent and remain with their mothers for nearly a decade.

Planet Voyagers Plus

The Adruaneyk, Planet Parlo-Sefron

Scientific Classification - Sarkotherion spina
• Genus: Sarkotheron (from Greek sarkos, "flesh", and theron, "beast")
• Species: spina (from Latin spina, "spine")

Physical Characteristics
• Length: 10 ft 9 in (3.28 meters)
• Height at shoulder: Approximately 4.5 feet
• Weight: 838 to 1,000 lb
• Skin: Dense, pebbled hide with swirling biopatterns used for camouflage
• Limbs: Quadrupedal with wide-set, clawed feet suited to marshy terrain and tall grass
• Coloration: Grey base with dark blue-black patterning; spines have a faint iridescent sheen

Physical Description
The Adruaneyk is a medium-to-large herbivorous reptoid, best known for the brilliant array of iridescent dorsal spines running from its shoulders to the tip of its thick, armored tail. These spines were once thought to be offensive weapons but are now understood to serve a display and thermal-regulatory role, similar to those of Earth’s Stegosaurus. Its elongated skull hosts beaked jaws ideal for cropping foliage, while wide-set nostrils aid in detecting ripened plant matter. Its forelimbs are semi-flexible, allowing it to pull down vines and tree canopies.

Diet & Feeding Behavior

Primarily a folivorous browser, the Adruanyek feeds on:
• Clavareth fronds – high-nutrient cycads with alkaline sap
• Glowvine bracts – bioluminescent vine clusters rich in chlorophyllin and minerals
• Velkra bark – bitter bark strips used for gut health and parasite resistance

Daily intake: ~400 pounds of vegetation
Preferred feeding hours: Late dawn and dusk, when foliage dew assists digestion. It uses a gastroliths stored in its secondary stomach to grind tougher materials.

Behavior & Social Life
Adruanyeks are semi-solitary or form small triads during seasonal feeding migrations. During the Verdance Month, larger groups may gather around watering groves for courtship displays.
• Territorial but non-aggressive, they establish scent-marked routes and use vocalizations to avoid confrontation.
Spinal flare displays are used to communicate health, age, and reproductive status.

Communication
• Chuffing calls and low-frequency body rumbles are the primary communication methods.

Defense Mechanisms
Though peaceful, it is highly defensible:
• Emits resinous musk that deters most predators and can cause mild disorientation
