Let me share with you a lesson often ignored in the story of The Woman With The Issue Of Blood. This lesson could be one of the reasons many people are not healed for years and even after countless "powerful church programs."
In Mark 5:22-43, Jairus had wanted Jesus to come over to his house and heal his little daughter. Jesus agreed to go. On the way, the woman with the issue of blood saw Him.
She knew He was the Only One who could heal her and put an end to her 12 years of bleeding.
But she also knew that Jesus was going somewhere else to heal another girl. It all appeared as though Jesus' mind was only fixed on the little girl he was going to heal.
Did the woman allow it to stop her from exercising her faith? No. She went ahead and touched the hem of Jesus' garment. He faith worked, and she was healed!
Now here is the lesson we often overlooked: The woman never say "Ah! Jesus isn't thinking about me today. His mind is on the other girl. He's not even talking or mentioning my case. How can I be healed when I am not part of the people he has in mind to heal today?"
This would have been her biggest mistake if she had thought like that. But she saw Jesus as God. God sees everyone and knows everything we face. God's power is not fixed on one thing only and on one person alone. God's power can heal everyone at the same time.
When we attend a program, we must avoid the temptation of depending only on what the preacher mentions. Our faith should be in God who sees, knows and can do all things.
Whether or not the preacher mentions our case, Jesus can still heal us if we have a living faith.
So, stop saying "My case wasn't mentioned" and start touching the hem of Jesus' garment with your living faith.
God is thinking about you even when you feel He's not. God is watching over you even when it seems He's not. God loves you even when you don't feel it.
Have faith in God, trust in His love for you, and your life will not lack special testimonies.
May God give us a living faith in the name of Jesus. Amen.
