Written by award-winning director Tristan Barrocks Sugar Dumplin follows a woman struggling to find her place in life, she is tasked with the responsibility of checking in on her estranged elderly father as he settles into the only retirement home that will take him in.
The daughter tries to forge a deeper connection with her father by preparing dishes that evoke memories of his Caribbean childhood while he grapples with dementia.

As it stands, we are blown away by the excitement and passion to see our beloved super start, Oliver Samuels come into a role that is so powerful.
This film will be released in 2025 after its festival run where, we would like to tour it internationally.
