i watched obsession in theatres w @brownblackandmilds like a week ago and he made a really good allegory
spoilers also mention of bodily fluids cus ts happened in the movie also slight mention for s/a
ok so like ya there was a scene where nikki stood up in one spot and one position all day waiting for bear to come home because she was not only experiencing a very, very strong limerence, but as far as i know she was excited to see his reaction upon discovering nikki had cooked his deceased feline
when bear came back, the floor below nikki was covered in both urine and fecal matter, and brown compared it to s/a victims defecating theirselves against their will
it can be considered a stretch to some, yeah, but i think it’s a interesting allegory or theory, because the outer, deluded nikki was doing things against the real nikkis will, everything that happened beyond bear snapping the “one wish willow” was an unstoppable force, completely seperate from nikki. and despite of this she still felt everything and, suffered according to herself (in the scene where nikki begs bear not to wake the “other” nikki up)
basicahleh its a figure of speech for lack of control or smthn i doubt the writers intended this but ya
i didnt think the movie was outstanding but it wasnt absolutely horrible, i thought id share this with yall to see ur thoughts ya i like this i love movies even if they arent the best thing youve ever seen its still cool to come up to conclusions and make comparisons
