Last Of Us - Season 2 Episode 7 - 9.7 Fatherless Children out of 10

Just when you thought Season 2 couldn’t get any more intense, the finale comes crashing in like a Molotov cocktail to the emotions. HBO once again proves it’s not just telling a story—crafting a survival epic that punches you in the gut, hugs you after, and then punches you again just to remind you who's boss.
This episode wastes no time. From the first minute, the stakes are sky-high, the pacing is razor-sharp, and the atmosphere is thick enough to choke on. The emotional weight that’s been simmering all season finally boils over—and it’s scalding. The writing pulls no punches. Every line, every silence, every glance carries a history of hurt, love, and impossible choices.

The final sequence will have fans arguing, analyzing, and maybe even crying with questions for months until next season.

Last of Us - Season 2 EP 6 - “The Price”

With a strong opening scene, added some cool backstory, to an incredibly emotional rollercoaster, what this episode excelled at was all the new scenes not lifted from the game, while scenes from the game being adapted well, but leaving me questioning if the timing of it was right. What I personally always liked about the game was the subtext and the framing of the story. The show has been erasing a lot of that subtext and telling the audience exactly what’s going on, and putting scenes that might feel a little too early to reveal, that I can only really judge when I’ve seen the full picture.

That being said this was an incredible episode, and potentially the best of the show, with such strong arcs and character moments that truly elevated this season. The acting and writing were great, and can’t wait to see the finale, and how events will play out.

The Last of Us - Season 2 Episode 5

This episode shows some changes to the game, while still doing a decent adaptation of Ellie’s confrontation with Nora.

The show lacks a lot of the emphasis and emotion from the game, with day 2 feeling very rushed when compared to the game.
That being said, the show still has its strong moments, giving Dina a backstory, and where the show excels is in its opening scenes in which moments that weren’t in the game are expanded upon and explored.

With two episodes left, we’re left with many questions wondering where will it end, and what else will they change…

Last of Us S2. Ep 4 - 7.5/10 Copper pans 🍳

Episode 4 hits harder than a clicker at 3am with no flashlight.

Ellie and Dina went full apocalyptic rom-com on their Seattle road trip-bad jokes, tense shootouts, and an emotional Take On Me guitar solo that strummed our infected little hearts.

Isaac's Introduction is quiet, terrifying. He's clearly the CEO of Torture Room Ambience. Charisma and cruelty never looked so organized.

Moody, messy, and mushroom-approved.

The reference Point Podcast take on the episode 3 of the “Last of Us”

7/10 Coffee Beans

Dealing with the fallout of the last episode, without spoiling, takes it time and draws out slowly the aftermath, in ways that the game couldn’t.

Not the strongest episode of the season, and to be quite honest, I’m not sure Gayle, although an incredible performance by Catherine O’Hara, is really working as a character, towards the story they want to tell.

Personally, I find the show is also making changes that I’m not quite sure I agree with, and changes to the original story that are quite different from the game, that we will have to see play out in it entirety to really judge.

9 Golf Clubs out of 10

The latest episode of The Last of Us features our first biggest departure from the source material, shaking things up for both general audiences and fans of the video game.

This episode is full of tense scenes and the direction is just different enough to have you second guessing what's coming up.

The last half of the episode is incredibly anxiety inducing and gut wrenching, and leaves you feeling a little emptier than usual.

DAREDEVIL EP. 9 - 9.5/10 CRUSHED HEADS

Punisher storms in like a one-man army-calculated, ruthless, and impossible to ignore. His intro sets the tone for the chaos to come.

Hell's Kitchen is no longer the city that never sleeps-it's the city that can't see. A blackout plunges everything into literal and moral darkness.

One man takes off his mask, exposing the monster he's always been beneath the surface. Another chooses to keep his on, not out of fear, but as a symbol of hope and protection for the people he refuses to abandon.

The episode showed strong direction once again, with incredible action sequences and answers to some questions that we have been waiting all season for.

Benson and Moorhead bring the heat, and we can't wait to see what they bring with Season 2.
What a wrap up to an incredible season, that just left us itching for a season 2, and excited to see the direction the next season will go.

Overall, a strong return to form for Daredevil, with an incredible first season.
