🧼 How to Wash Your Hands Properly

Keeping your hands clean is one of the simplest and most effective ways to prevent the spread of germs and diseases. Proper handwashing helps protect you and the people around you from infections. Follow these easy steps to wash your hands the right way:

1️⃣ Wet your hands with clean running water.

2️⃣ Apply soap and ensure it covers all parts of your hands.

3️⃣ Rub your palms together to create a lather.

4️⃣ Scrub between your fingers to remove hidden dirt and germs.

5️⃣ Clean your fingernails and fingertips, where germs often hide.

6️⃣ Lather the backs of your hands and your wrists thoroughly.

7️⃣ Rinse your hands well under clean running water.

8️⃣ Dry your hands using a clean or disposable towel.

9️⃣ Use the towel to turn off the tap to avoid touching germs again.

✅ Proper handwashing should take at least 20 seconds. Making this a regular habit helps prevent illnesses such as flu, stomach infections, and other contagious diseases.

💡 Remember: Clean hands save lives. Wash your hands before eating, after using the toilet, after touching dirty surfaces, and whenever they look dirty.
