Not only am I lost for words, but I’m also utterly disgusted.
An organization using one of the saddest moments in Japanese horse racing history to push ideological and political messages is, honestly, one of the dirtiest moves I can think of. Especially considering that everyone involved with Silence Suzuka did everything they possibly could just to help her walk again.

What makes this even worse is that they didn’t just use the real-life tragedy — they also used the Uma Musume character version, and even took shots at the fact that the anime portrayed her recovering from the leg injury. The only reason Uma Musume was used is painfully obvious: views and clicks. Let’s be honest — ever since the game went global, it’s been consistently among the top 5 most played gacha games.

I sincerely hope that Cygames and the people involved with Silence Suzuka take legal action against this abomination.

Anyway, at least today there was something positive to celebrate:
🏆 Uma Musume won Mobile Game of the Year.
Congratulations to Cygames and everyone involved in the game — well deserved.
