Sydney Film School
Sydney Film School was founded to teach the essential filmmaking ‘tools’ necessary for a successful career in the global film industry. It is an intense training experience where our students learn how to be filmmakers. Through producing and crewing a significant number of films, students gain both the skills to be employed by the industry and create their own productions. Since Sydney Film School’s inception, alumni have gone onto successful careers across the planet and create a network for new students to build relationships with.

Our Bachelor of Screen Production, in conjunction with @ExcelsiaEduAu is a practical based, three year film degree course. We sat down with two of our students, Thomas Green & Gemma Rubin, to chat about what their First Year with us was like. Sydney Film School
Student life and culture is so important to us at Sydney Film School. One of our favourite events to bring all our staff and students together is our annual Film Festival and Graduation Ceremony. It is a fantastic opportunity to highlight our students’ achievements over their time at SFS, and to celebrate with them as they venture forth into the professional creative industry.
In 2024 our Graduation Ceremony was held at the Randwick Ritz. Students were able to see their work on the big screen; and there’s no place more fitting for a film school graduation than a cinema!
As always, we will miss our graduating students. Next up: the Class of 2025!
