A Little Taste of Italy, Right Here in Las Vegas 🇮🇹❤️

Yesterday, I pressed pause after work, and all the responsibilities that come with being a business owner, nonprofit founder, doctoral student, and mom.

Instead, I spent the evening with my 12-year-old daughter at the Venetian, enjoying a beautiful gondola ride and what felt like a little piece of Italy right here in America. As we floated through the canal, we smiled and took in the shopping mall around us inside the Venetian Resort.

As mothers, especially single mothers, we often get so busy building businesses, pursuing dreams, and creating opportunities for our children that we sometimes forget the importance of simply being present. Yesterday was a reminder that while I’m working hard to build a future for my daughters, I must also make time to enjoy the journey with them.

The gondola ride was beautiful, but the real gift was the uninterrupted conversation, the smiles, and the memories we created together.

Because at the end of the day, success means very little if we don’t take time to enjoy the people we’re building it for. ❤️

From graduating from Ralph McKee Vocational & Technical High School in Staten Island, New York, in June 1996, to earning my MBA from California State University in 2020 during one of the hardest seasons in history.

Although COVID-19 prevented me from walking across the stage in 2020, it could not stop the journey, the sacrifice, the growth, or the accomplishment. 💫

Today, Dr. Browne is still in progress. 📚✨
A first-generation woman from Bo, Sierra Leone, West Africa, continuing the journey toward a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree with a mission bigger than herself.
