There is perhaps no bigger unknown legend in the history of 70s rock then Douglas "Buzz" Shearman and his band MOXY. Buzz died tragically in a motorcycle accident outside Toronto on June 16, 1983 at the age of 33.

Moxy's first 3 albums with Buzz remain Moxy's best known and most commercially successful, with Moxy I on vinyl being especially sought-after by die-hard Bolin fans. MOXY 's principle composer Earl Johnson has a flamboyant guitar style, who alongside Buddy Caine on rhythm guitar deliver dual guitar riffs heavy on the blues. The drumming of Bill Wade is driven and with Terry Juric on bass drop thunderous back-beats.

"Buzz had that special quality in his voice that carried a smile and a lift. He penetrated himself into the listeners and was very forceful with them. He gave a definite impression to the music. His passing was untimely, but he gave us so much in such a short span. His music is his legacy". Joe Anthony (The Godfather of Rock) -KISS/KMAC -San Antonio, Texas.
