Yashwantrao Chavan Centre, a Public Charitable Trust, was registered in September, 1985, under Bombay Public Trusts Act. The main objective of forming this Trust was to perpetuate the memory of late Shri Yashwantrao Chavan, who made outstanding and invaluable contribution to India’s socio-political life, particularly to the betterment of the common man’s life. In the last 30+ years Chavan Centre has emerged as a leading organization which provides platform for constructive discussion on socio-economic issues. These discussions lead to innovative field action programmes for awareness, betterment of social services and advocacy.
The activities of the Chavan Centre are carried out from the Chavan Center across the Maharashtra.
