Right now My heart is really heavy & words feel so inadequate as I try to express the profound sorrow of losing Zubeen da. He wasn’t just a singer, he was a TREASURE OF ASSAM, a voice that became the soundtrack of a generation. His talent wasn’t just remarkable—it was a force of nature that left an indelible mark on every young person.

He had the potential to achieve fame on a national & even international stage, yet he chose to pour all his love & genius into Assamese music. He stayed, not for lack of ambition, but out of a deep & unwavering loyalty to his homeland. That choice speaks volumes about the man he was.

I remember the day our paths crossed by chance in a restaurant. What started as a coincidence became a cherished moment by choice. In that brief conversation, I saw the true measure of his greatness: a star with absolutely no pretense.

He was a man who had achieved so much, yet he remained so grounded & humble. That encounter was more than just a meeting; it was an inspiration that ignited a fire within me. I left that day with the hope of meeting him again, not by chance, but by choice—to show him what we had achieved, inspired by his example.

How could I have known that it would be our first and last meeting? The unpredictability of life is a cruel truth, & this loss is a heartbreaking reminder of it.

My deepest condolences to his family, his friends, & all his fans. His legacy will live on forever in the hearts & homes of Assam.

Today, I felt a deep sense of belonging 🫂 &
connection 🫂 & to the land l've called home for over 6 years. As a girl from Nagaland living in Assam, l've always been fascinated by the rich cultural heritage of this beautiful state. And finally, I got to wear the stunning traditional attire of Assam!🥹
I'm completely smitten with this exquisite outfit! The intricate designs, the vibrant colors, and the elegant drape... every detail is a testament to the exceptional craftsmanship and rich cultural legacy of Assam. Wearing it made me feel like a true Assamese 😍 and for a moment, I forgot I was from Nagaland!🥲
I honestly don't want to return this gorgeous attire to its rightful owner 😭but no choice 💔... Although I'm returning but the memories and the feeling of connection it gave me will stay with me forever 🥰.
