Tigers are the largest wild cats in the world. They are powerful hunters with sharp teeth, and strong jaws, and typically hunt along and prefer to hunt in the dark. A newborn tiger cub weighs about 700g – 1600g, and is blind at birth. Therefore tiger cubs are completely dependent on the mother for a couple of weeks. The tiger cubs begin to consume solid food from 6-8 weeks. They spend their time playing with their siblings and mother, and it helps them to develop essential skills for living. Cubs stay with their mother for about 18 – 24 months. They like water and can swim well. They are cute, funny, and very popular in zoos around the world.

Scarlet macaws are large colorful birds with solid swatches of red, blue, and yellow feathers (some have a band of green between red and blue swatches) that can be found in tropical evergreen rainforests of central and south America. They prefer to spend time and live in the topmost layers of the trees. Like all parrot species, they are extremely loud.

A well-grown bird is about 30 - 35 inches in length from beak to tail and weighs about 1 kg.

These birds are best suited for large spaces because they prefer an out-of-cage behavior.

Their diet consists of nuts, leaves, and seeds.

Macaws mate for breeding from January to April and build nests in the holes of dead canopy trees. Female birds lay one or two eggs per year.

Illegal bird trade and habitat loss due to rainforest destruction has a great impact not only on macaws but on all pet birds.

African Gray Parrots are gregarious and social large parrots with silver color feathers, a white mask, and a bright reddish tail are native to rainforests and forest edges of Central Africa.
These birds are herbivorous and prefer fruits, nuts, seeds, and insects.

The lifespan of the grays is around 50 years.

An adult parrot is approximately 12 -14 inches in length and weighs about 450 g.

They build nests in cavities of trees and the female lays 3 - 5 eggs and incubates (30 days).

Although they are less stunning in color, they are the most intelligent of all birds with the greatest mimic of human speech. Though they do not understand the meaning they have an amazing vocabulary of hundreds of words.

Like cockatoos, these birds are also not the best choice for beginners.

Eclectus parrots are medium-sized and native to rainforests of Australia, Papua new guinea, Indonesia, and the Solomon islands. They typically behave near water bodies and coastal areas and build nests high up in trees.

There are more than 350 species of these beautiful birds, and Macaws, lorikeets, cockatoos and lovebirds, and many others can be considered parrots. Some species like Macaws and Lorikeets are famous due to their brilliant colors. Long-tailed birds call as parakeets and short-tailed birds as lorikeets.
Parrots are beautiful, friendly, and cute therefore a lot of these birds live in captivity across the world as pets. They are often brightly colored, but most are dominated by green and this helps them to hide among trees.
