Fun fact: Originally, for Fossil Fighters, I really wanted to make the mutants “fake dinosaurs”, basically chimaeras that are made out of fossils of different dinosaurs (or occasionally, animals, one of the examples of chimeric dinosaurs is the Archeoraptor at the bottom, it looks like an abomination from a lab, my god….), but soon I realised that it couldn’t really bring out the “horror” aspect that I really wanted to show, so the idea was scrapped.

The Dakotaraptor still remained though, it can work as a lil hint since it’s based on a literal mistake made by a fossil restorer (and plus it was initially named in 2005, and no one knew dinosaurs the way we do now, soo Dakota’s here to stay)
