The campaign to make Mah-Dry-Plus is somehow a real thing! For the next 2 weeks you can buy your very own Plushy of the Avatar of my channel!

To reach the campaign goal and get these made, we need at least 200 reservations. Once that goal is reached, everyone will have 30 days to go ahead and buy their Plushy's, then they'll go ahead and make them.

They're all getting made in one big batch based on the amount of orders they get, so it's a limited time offer! Hey! I've had an idea for a while and I want your opinions on it. Would you be interested in me doing less Challenge videos in a month, but spending more time working on them so that they're longer and more detailed? Hit the "See more" thing and I'll explain my thoughts.


There have been a lot of challenge runs over the years where I've wished I had more time to spend on it, but just don't have enough time in one week to do it. There has also been a lot of runs where I had some fun ideas that would have made the video better, but again due to the strict time limit I couldn't spend as much time on it as I'd like to. I know that if I had more time I could really fill out these videos with more of what went on in the run, and it would let me do crazy challenges that require a lot more work like I used to sometimes do way back in 2019. Stuff like No Pokecentre, where I need to have that buffer room of time in case I mess up and lose a lot of progress.

On the other hand, I understand that a lot of you guys watch this show as a part of your regular weekly schedule. I'm constantly being told by people that putting on my Pokemon Challenge is part of their Saturday routine. They're listening to me while they eat dinner, or do homework, or drive home from work. I think that's awesome and would hate to break that routine. Plus, that routine is good for the YouTube Algorithm and you know how we all feel about that!



I don't know, I'm torn on it. I don't want to give you guys "less" of anything, so the intention would be to make the Pokemon Challenges longer and overall just better. More time spent filling out the script with interesting stuff about the run, more time editing to make it feel a bit more special, and more time to spend on a challenge run that I know is going to take a long time to play. Quality is great, obviously. But I also value quantity and you guys obviously do too. The most common things you guys praise about the show is that it's always here, non-stop, year after year. That's something I'm really good at! I was doing daily videos from 2011 to 2021, I'm nothing if not consistent, and obviously there's a lot of comfort in that. You can always rely on me to get the videos done. Outside of a couple health episodes and random computer deaths, everything's always on time.

Also there is a lot of risk that would come with changing that schedule. I've been telling you "next Saturday like usual" at the ends of these videos for like 7 years. If it stops being every Saturday, then what it is? 3 Saturdays a week? Every other Saturday? Maybe it's not even on Saturday's anymore, I don't know that yet. Does it just become a thing where I stop worrying about that kind of stuff and work on the video until it's done, then upload it as soon as it's ready? I think that if enough of you guys want to see me spend more time working on the videos then we'll need to do another poll post in the near future to hammer out a new schedule so we can figure out what frequency of uploads makes sense.

Also, BIG gamble in terms of the YouTube Algorithm. This could end up totally tanking me on YouTube with them just totally taking me off your homepages, a place that you always tell me that I'm rarely on anyway. YouTube could see I'm not uploading as much, or that there are more smaller videos between the big ones and just think my channel isn't worth promoting. On the flip side, the individual videos might end up getting a big boost in engagement and retention because of the crazier challenges, then YouTube could see that and think my channel is worth promoting. That it's done well in the past and is doing well again. So I could see this doing a ton of damage or totally reviving the channel to more prosperous times. Not like, 2019/2020 times. My channel is NEVER gonna be THAT big again, that was a crazy fluke. More like 2022/2023 times, that's around the natural settling point for my channel before my channel got nuked by that same algorithm change that hurt a ton of people in the autumn of 2023.


Anyway I'm rambling. What are your thoughts? Do you strictly think I should keep it weekly? Do you want me to loosen it up a bit and make the videos feel bigger and more detailed? Do you legit not mind either way and just wanna say that you'll watch regardless? This is all feedback I'd love to have! Also comment with your thoughts if you have any! I want as much feedback as I can get on this. This would be a huge change for the channel so I don't want to do it without hearing your opinions on it and taking your feedback into consideration.

Okay this new YouTube feature actually rules

I just saw that the new beta quiz feature got enabled on my channel. You know how YouTubers can have little links appear in the top right of the video in a pullout card? Well now they're adding something like that for polls!

I mean, it says it's a quiz but let's be real. This is probably mostly going to be used for polls. It looks like a fun feature though!

I've been asking you guys for years to "Make your final guesses on if we can win this one or not" and it's never really been easy for me to track how many people think I will or won't win. All I can really do is eyeball it when reading the comments. And yeah, obviously part of asking if you think I'll win is to encourage you to comment more because it's good for the algorithm, but I also just ask because it's fun. Who doesn't like audience participation? I like knowing what ones you think will be too hard for me to beat, and now with this Quiz feature it looks like I'll be able to get a more exact number!

Now, I don't know how this feature works yet for sure. I don't know if it runs for a limited time after the video comes out or if it's there forever collecting votes. I hope it's the latter because that's a lot more fun. Maybe it could even be fun to go back and put quizzes on old episodes!

If you guys have any ideas for fun things I could do with the new quiz feature, let me know! Let's brainstorm some ideas. I'm just so pumped that YouTube finally added something to make the website better for once instead of the usual updates that no one is happy about.

Hey Guild 2 Renaissance fans! I see your messages, don't worry!

I've been getting tons of random comments from old fans from a decade ago that loved my old Guild 2 Renaissance videos I made back in the day, and they're all excited to tell me that The Guild 2 just randomly got support again and is getting the biggest updates in the entire game's history.

Don't worry, I know! I've been playing it too, the updates are incredible! Completely groundbreaking stuff, like the entire economy is re-written and I can't believe how much better it plays now than it ever did before.

I'm absolutely going to stream it just like in the good-old days, I just want to wait a bit longer. It's getting such massive updates every week or two that I'd like to wait just a little longer before I dive deep into it on air. Rest assured though, Guild 2 streams and videos will happen!

In the meantime though, I need to get over this awful cold I have, catch up on work, and get back to my Fire Red Nuzlocke, I miss playing that!
