Mission Statement: Making you feel like you're hanging out with your friends, but all your friends are idiots.
Hey! I'm Mah-Dry-Bread. I've been doing YouTube full time since I was 18 years old in 2010. During that time my biggest accolade is having uploaded a video a day minimum 10 years (March 30th 2011 to 2021) so there should be no lack of content!
This show is just run by me, Mah-Dry-Bread! I have a whole lot of friends who I love having on, especially on the let's plays, but everything else is just being done by me. I'm a one man team with over a decade experience of jury rigging this show into something watchable. I hope you enjoy!
If you want to keep up with me outside of Youtube, I do tweet quite often so my twitter is probably the best way. My Discord server is friendly, go say hi!
I stream frequently on www.Twitch.tv/MahDryBread
Have a nice day!

Hey, this is an update on the computer stuff from yesterday's post.
Good news, I'm back up and running! I actually really lucked out and the local computer shop was able to get it fixed all in one day. As pretty much everyone suspected, it was the liquid cooler on my CPU. It ended up springing a leak but it seemed dry when I looked in there. When the guy went to repair the computer, he noticed that the liquid from the cooler shot up into the radiator where it could be easily cleaned. We went ahead and replaced it with an air cooler that's already doing a MUCH better job!
I got really lucky. If that leak had spilled into the rest of the computer then it could have done some damage.
While I was there I finally did the big upgrade that I've been holding off on since 2019. My CPU and Ram are both out of date to the point that it was slowing things down, although the throttling I was getting from my computer's insane temperature problems was probably most of the problem. My CPU was routinely 110C when rendering and I think it was Cinebench that was telling me it was throttling.
Anyway, I finally replaced the old CPU and ram, although that required a new motherboard. That's fine though, mine was a hunk of junk since day 1. That old motherboard had a dead sata port on it and I had all kinds of weird issues with the USB slots. This new one not giving me those issues is already nice. I'm also finally on DDR5 ram now so that's nice!
The whole process was actually cheaper than I was expecting. I was fortunate that I had a really good tech. We talked back and forth a lot about what software I use and what kinds of stuff I do and he was familiar with it all. He was pretty knowledgeable on what parts were great but haven't massively raised in price in the last few months. Like he had some ram there that was $200 last week and $500 this week, at least according to him. And yeah, a lot of prices were nuts, but I wasn't planning on going for that stuff anyway.
Also because a lot of people were asking on the last post, yeah I know how to build computers. I built all my computers that I owned since I was 16 until the current one, but that was a custom build I ordered years ago thinking that I'd have a professional do it for once. Unfortunately that professional was IBuyPower so they messed up pretty much the whole thing. That's how I discovered that my local computer shop is actually REALLY good and can fix just about anything on the same day for really cheap. What I learned is that although professionals can build a cleaner and nicer version of the same computer that I can, I've gotta make sure the right ones do it. My local computer shop guys rock.
I haven't had a chance to hardcore stress test it yet, but I can tell you that things are MUCH better! My CPU used to hit 110C every single day. Last night I had my computer render a 13 and a half hour video of my entire WWF Wrestlemania 2000 Streamthrough and my CPU never went above 70C! My computer used to idle at 55+, now it's less than that while gaming! So I think it's safe to say the heat problem is FINALLY fixed after all these years.
I haven't had a chance to edit much video yet on it, but I did pop open a few project files and mess around a bit and performance seems a lot better. Hey maybe this means I'll be able to edit the credits more without totally destroying Premiere Pro! Fancier looking credits would be a funny way to celebrate the fixed computer.
Thank you again so much to everyone who helped out with the fundraising streams the other month! Without the help, I wouldn't have had the money to fix the computer, for sure. I remember telling you guys back then that I thought the computer could pretty much die whenever. In fact people brought up to me that apparently I was talking about how I need to fix my computer soon in the most recent Challenge that went up! I think that voiceover was like 3 weeks ago? Because I assume they're talking about the Ghost run, not the Heart Gold Version Exclusive Run that's in early access right now.
I would take credit for predicting it but considering I've been saying "I really should fix my computer" for several years, it was bound to happen.
Anyway, wednesday was going to be my day off anyway and I got the entire computer fixed over the course of the day, so I don't think work's going to be affected at all! Unless there's some weird computer instability that I haven't noticed yet then I think I'm fully back to work. It wasn't cheap but I knew I had to do this eventually so at least my computer won't be holding me back anymore.
More streams and videos coming soon! I've attached a screenshot of my new temps for any computer nerds who like to see these things. Oh yeah and I made a new channel to dump stream VODS on! I haven't talked about it much and I don't have all of the links up for it yet so not many people know about it at the moment, but here's a link for those of you who read this whole thing: www.youtube.com/channel/UCmB_...
Sorry if I made you worry about there being less videos the other day! I'm just happy it got resolved quickly. Until next time, have a nice day!

Hey! So my computer just broke!
I put a link to a little video of it making a weird noise and shutting off on twitter if you want to see, but I'm not surprised. It's been getting slowly worse and less stable over the last year and a half or so. It's been hitting the cpu temp max a ton and clearly not performing well as a result.
The liquid cooler is pretty old and probably not working well, and I've been told that my cpu runs hot in general. I forget what one it is off the top of my head and I can't really hop on my computer to check right now.
In brief, the computer makes a weird whirring noise, shows the normal boot screen, then turns itself off sometime before it boots to windows. I think it could be overheating, but it could be a lot of things. Bad power supply maybe, or a problem with my ancient motherboard. I'm not sure. I'm going to have to take it to a shop to have them test it.
I'm really holding out hope that my boot SSD didn't die but I think that's unlikely, I don't think an SSD of all things would make a whirring drive. If it did die though, I made a backup of most of the good stuff that was on it last month.
Anyway, this is obviously going to affect the uploads on the show. This week's Pokemon Challenge is already scheduled so it will go up, but chances are that at least one episode is going to have to be misses because I don't know how long the computer will be in the shop and how much damage is done. If I get the computer back fast and no data is lost then maybe I can catch up fast, but if data is lost then it could be pretty bad.
Also I'm just remembering now that I'm pretty sure my premiere pro project files are on that boot drive and I didn't back that part up. Really hoping that drive is fine.
Really sorry about this! I don't like when technical issues get in the way of the show. I'm stressed out of my mind about this right now and just trying to figure out what I can do to stay productive in the mean time, but I'm extremely limited in what I can do without my computer. I have no back up computer, I'm just typing this on my phone.
Let's hope it's an easy repair. Have a nice day!

Hey! Just letting you know that I changed the name of the channel to remove the "Gameplay & Streams" part. Stream VODS might be going to a side channel in the future, but nothing is being removed from this channel and the let's plays with my friends will still continue on here, I just didn't like how long and clunky the channel name was.
Because I changed the name though, I had to reapply for a verification badge. That means the channel isn't going to be verified until they check that. So it could take a day to get the badge back, could take a month. I've got no clue.
Just letting you know so that you don't go worrying about if the channel was hijacked or if this is a fake account or anything. It's still me! The channel should get re-verified sometime soon.

Hey! Stream-a-thon updates:
It looks like the YouTube analytics haven't caught up with yesterday's stream yet so the exact revenue is a bit of a mystery at the moment, so the on-screen tip thing still isn't accurate. The short version is just that the tip goal on screen tracks direct tips through the link in the description, but not through super chats so I have to manually add those once the analytics come in.
I think I can get it fixed today or tomorrow. I also need to total up all of the direct tips manually since Streamlabs has an analytics page and it's just straight up wrong. It says I got 0 tips even though the recent events page lists all the tips clearly. I'm going to have to manually tally those, I think.
Between that and horrible sleep for almost a week in a row, I think I'm going to do the next stream tomorrow. That'll give me time to fix the on-screen tip thing and catch up on sleep.
More PokeRogue tomorrow, then RomHacks!
