I'm really sorry about the delay in posting my latest video(s). We can blame Hurricane Milton. I and the family are well, but time was spent prepping for the storm, hunkering down, and then slight clean up after the storm. Things are back to normal in our part of Florida, so regular posting of videos will resume this week.

Today's new drawing is Disney CEO Bob Iger! Frustrating that YouTube Shorts still doesn't let one edit the thumbnail. On my drawing it chose a shot from early on in the video. I imagine that if I could select the final drawing it would get more views. Onward!

What's up with thumbnails for Shorts? No matter what you do YouTube picks whatever it wants for a thumbnail. YouTube Studio lets you pick a thumbnail, it never works. Nor do the info cards. Are these options only for full videos and not Shorts? Then maybe YouTube should say so somewhere in the upload process pages.
Oh well, here's a drawing/painting I did last night with what YouTube choose as a thumbnail, and the final version that I wanted as a thumbnail (that YouTube didn't pick).

I have deadlines to meet, so I only spent 2-3 minutes on this quick sketch in Clip Studio. I'll be continuing this process and attempting to do a drawing (Short) a day. Some will be quicker than others, but that's the goal. I'll draw whatever comes into my head during those few minutes. Life drawings, superheroes, coffee cup, street scenes, etc...
