CULTIVATING INTUITION:

In my question and answer classes I tell you how to cultivate intuition. In most people it is a faculty which has remained dormant. So we say, "Awake thou that sleepeth. Wake up to your leads and hunches. Wake up to the divinity within!”

I will be uploading chapter two in a couple of days.

In The Secret Door of Success, Florence speaks about success in an interesting way. Starting out in chapter one with a metaphor of the walls of Jericho. As you know by now, if you read her first two books with me, Florence references the Bible often. To her, "Of course, all biblical stories have a metaphysical interpretation."

She said that people build a wall separating them from success. She says that wall is "Often, it is a wall of resentment - resenting someone, or resenting a situation, shuts off your good." I suppose this can also be seen as feeling as though you are a victim. And resenting others for what they have. Also, many of us have worth problems. We simply do not feel worthy for what we want. Florence refers to a hobo, Jim Tully, as an example of success.

In chapter 20, The Elements, Florence writes, "He has the power to 'rebuke the winds and the waves,' check floods or bring rain when it is needed."This chapter includes affirmations regarding storms, fire, and drought. In Chapter 21 Journey, she simply includes one affirmation.

Chapter 22 Misc, she writes about three things that are vital in successfully shifting one's perspective and creating their reality in a more purposeful and loving (sorry it has to be loving that is what the universe is) way

In the Chapter 22 Conclusion, she says, "Choose the affirmation which appeals to you the most and wave it over the situation which confronts you. It is your magic wand, for your word is God in action."

Chapter 18 HEALTH opens by saying, "When man is harmonious and happy he is healthy! All sickness comes from violation of Spiritual Law." she continues: "Resentment, ill-will, hate, fear, etc., etc., tear down the cells of the body and poison the blood."

This takes a bit to fully understand (not that fully I do, lol). At first, these types of statements lead one to conclude that they are to blame for their illness. Yet, that is not really what it is.

REMEMBER you have been programmed for this reality (kinda like the matrix). You are essentially running on autopilot. While we may create our life, or at least highly influence what happens, on autopilot we are not aware of it. Thus we need not blame ourselves or feel bad (that just dulls our vibe!)

When Florence wrote this in the late 1920's, we were just beginning to develop a language to talk about STRESS and how it impacts our health and wellness. Since then we have found more and more of the truth in these statements.

We could say: "Stress and anxiety, including anger and resentment, lead to illness and eventually death." Just as well as, "Resentment, ill-will, hate, fear, etc., etc., tear down the cells of the body and poison the blood."

It is a different way of describing a similar thing. To interrupt the stress/ hate/ anxiety and raise our vibration we essentially are becoming more harmonious and happy. Hate, anger, and stress are a "violation of spiritual law (of love). When we raise our vibration we create an internal healing chemistry in the body.

Chapter 19 ANIMALS, I love that Florence includes animals (and specifically says dogs). She includes two affirmations. With my wild energetic little husky, I say this one often, "Infinite Intelligence illumines and directs this animal. It is a perfect idea in Divine Mind and is always in its right place."

This week I was able to get a few chapters recorded. Here is Ch. 11 (Debt), Ch. 12 (Sales), Ch. 13 (Interviews) Ch. 14 (Guidance), Ch. 15 (Protection), Ch 16 (Memory), & Ch. 17 (Divine Design) of Your Word is Your Wand by Florence Scovel Shinn.

On Wednesday I am uploading my Spirit Vlog 4. This is a special Spirit Vlog that explores the life of Florence Scovel Shinn. I also talk a bit about the early 20th Century. As that time period was fascinating. Plus, a bit about Bible, and religion. As I do. Please know that when the Bible is brought up on this channel it is more of a metaphysical perspective or my experience in my family's church. Always with an emphasis on LOVE and the idea that we are all an expression of God.

Chapter 11 DEBT opens by saying, "If a man is in debt or people owe him money, it shows that a belief of debt is in his subconscious mind." she continues "This belief must be neutralized in order to change conditions." Essentially our minds; our expectation has allowed lack into our consciousness. The affirmations for debt that Florence provides, are wonderful and provide instant relief from the stress of debt.

Chapter 12 SALES begins with a story of a lady selling items under nearly impossible conditions. And ends by saying, "Faith never looks out of the window at the blizzard, it simply prepares for the blessing asked for." The idea is to dig your ditches and ignore the blizzard.

Chapter 13 INTERVIEWS is simply a couple of focused affirmations to speak to your consciousness.

Chapter 14 GUIDANCE begins with a little bit of discussion about the rain. Now it is a discussion between a woman and her maid. This often causes people to feel as though it does not apply to them. These are people of privilege. But we can reprogram our position, we can through focus and love find the privilege that is our destiny.

Chapter 15 PROTECTION, contains a couple powerful protection affirmations.

Chapter 16 MEMORY provides amazing and clever affirmation.

Chapter 17 THE DIVINE DESIGN is the last chapter in this video. It opens by saying "Just as the perfect picture of the oak is in the acorn, the divine pattern of his life is in the superconscious mind of man." And remember, "In the Divine Design there is no limitation, only health, wealth, love, and perfect self-expression." To me this is a key reminder in Florence's books. It rings so true in my heart.

In Chapter 9, Florence writes about FAITH. "Hope looks forward, Faith knows it has already been received and acts accordingly." In reading books from cultures throughout the world the key is always in the living in the NOW. This is the secret to the SW American Natives' rain dances. They believe in the now. They feel the rain. They do not HOPE for rain. They know that it is already remaining.



And in Chapter 10 she writes about the LOSS (of things). She begins by writing "If man loses anything it shows there is a belief of loss in his subconscious mind. As he erases this false belief, the article, or its equivalent will appear on the external." A key teaching that Florence reminds us of (she did not create it, lol) is that there is a DIVINE DESIGN.



Say we can DEMAND: "Infinite Spirit, open the way for the Divine Design of my life to manifest; let the genius within me now be released; let me see clearly the perfect plan." That, "The perfect plan includes health, wealth, love, and perfect self-expression. This is the square of life, which brings perfect happiness. When one has made this demand, he may find great changes taking place in his life, for nearly every man has wandered far from the Divine Design." This piece really helps to bring this information together. For it to make some sense.

This week is all AFFIRMATIONS. Affirmations are tricky things. On the surface based on most of our understanding of life. They may seem foolish. In Chapter 7 Florence writes affirmations of FORGIVENESS. Essentially forgiveness is grace. It is the neutralizing of momentum; from cause. It is pure love. It is the eraser of our mistakes.

And in Chapter 8 she writes affirmations that are words of wisdom. And again these are affirmations that seem to be instructive. Random tidbits of valuable information to speak into your subconscious. Such as "Faith without nerve is dead. " (Your Word is Your Wand Ch 8 Florence Scovel Shinn)

I know faith takes guts. As a child, I grew up in a very Christian family. Yet, they were incredibly fearful. Their faith seemed to be based on fear. Rather than faith that transcends fear. Faith is powerful. It is true.

In chapter 5 Florence writes of romantic love. Not the love that is the Universe. As that is what most are concerned with. And she says:"With love usually comes terrific fear."

So she is looking at the fear associated with love. And how many have a similar version of Dolly Parton's song JOLENE, going on in their minds. Fear of the other woman, of Jolene. "Jolene Please don't take my man."

She goes on with affirmations to help current and reprogram beliefs around that. As our beliefs can actually create our problems. Our fears can attract those fears to us.

Her affirmations actually delve into a deeper more quantum perspective on love:
I am at peace with myself and with the whole world. I love everyone and everyone loves me.

Chapter 6 is a little bizarre as it talks about women who do not keep up with their husbands. She writes "We see this so often in the cases of rich and successful men who desert their faithful, hardworking wives later in life."

There is a few ways to look at this and I would actually be very interested in your interpretation.

Of happiness, Florence says, "When man knows that there is an invincible power that protects him and all that he loves, and brings to him every righteous desire of the heart, he relaxes all nervous tension and is happy and satisfied.He is undisturbed by adverse appearances, knowing that Infinite Intelligence is protecting his interests and utilizing every situation to bring his good to pass."

She writes that happiness is earned through "perfect control of the emotional nature."

I think with discussions involving the law of attraction and the power of positive thinking, it can be challenging to find the balance between controlling one's emotional nature and being authentic to one's self. And language like that "perfect control of the emotional nature" can bring that up.

It is not through the denial of our emotions. It is understanding just how powerfully we, as the Observer, guide and imbue our emotions with creative information for the output of our lives. This is the pose I believe she speaks of. And it is one of the biggest lessons for use to fully comprehend on this pathway.
