This channel was created to combine two of my favorite things: drag queens and reading! I'll review books on a weekly basis, either zapping or blessing them. Whether a new book or old book, whether middle grade, young adult or adult, no book is safe from the Speculative Detective! Most books reviewed are speculative in nature: fantasy, science fiction, horror and any related subgenres.

There will be no livestream this Saturday (July 12). Unfortunately, Angel, my cat of 17 years, has passed away. I need some time to decompress. In spite of her being such a pill, I loved her greatly. We never know how connected and bonded we are to our furry companions until they are gone. RIP, Angel. May you roam forever free in the land of milk and mice!

I'm so sorry for anyone who was looking forward to the next livestream, but I have to cancel it for the second week in a row--yikes!
