Can someone tell me what the theme of paranoy is? The dev killer in DoD? I feel like I've watched the video for it but I can't find it anywhere anymore?
With social media being so broad and accessible to all, it is fairly easy to cause drama over matters that may vary in size. Influencers and followers play a big part in this. In the past, big groups of similar ideology would mostly remain in their countries due to the lack of a common space for the exchange of knowledge such as the internet we all know and use today. However, currently I frankly do not know whether we should allow individuals to influence or be influenced by others. With followers usually being open to their idol's opinions and ideas, they may take them in and change their perspective of life, just from sitting looking at an object.
I just want to talk about the Roblox Schlep situation, as it worries as well as frustrates me what is happening in front of my very eyes whenever I use any online platform.
I want to start of saying that I do not know politics, human rights, or how much we should emphasise the safety of children under the age of 16 or even yet to become an adult. I just do not believe that suing Roblox is the best way of resolving this issue. I have no idea what is the other possibility to consider, but I just think that this method will result in consequences to both Roblox and its players. Yes, perhaps drastic and harsh measures must be taken to get the employees and managers of Roblox to work on its infrastructure and the problem everyone has been putting up for all to see for years. I also know that Roblox has an abundance of wealth in their pockets. Maybe they can take on multiple lawsuits against them. However, I am no so confident about what will happen to the playerbase after the cases are dealt with. Roblox is a children's game after all, one of the most popular in this day and age. A possibility of crippling Roblox's wealth may affect them, or any hardcore Roblox gamers out there. There is also a possibility of Roblox tanking the hits like it is nothing, and proceed to be inactive once again, like they have been the previous years.
I am aware that I am just a teenager expressing their concerns over the whole situation and have no first-hand experience of the issues being sued against Roblox. I just wish the best for everyone, maybe if Roblox uses AI to identify and separate the old and the young, preventing the exposure or introduction of mature topics into games to children, this would not have happened at all.
Also I want to vent how almost all supporters of Schlep just says FreeSchlep or smth its getting on my nerves how noisy this is to my ears despite how quiet it is in my room.
