Just an update, im still working away and juggling several exciting videos and topics all at once behind the scenes, however I like to explain why I only did a single livestream so far this week, or why ive been averaging a video every 5 days and not every 3 or 4. And... it because as grateful as I am and fortunate as my life has been- I still have a few obstacles to overcome in my day, before getting to the important part: FISH!

Oi. It appears as though I got me a touch of the Shingles yet again. The damn gift that keeps on giving! I have the autoimmune disorder known as lupus, and therefore unlike most folks who will get Shingles perhaps once, maybe twice in their life time.
Well thanks to my immune system which can be both over-active one week and then the next day it can be drained, and underactive. Leading to one radial nerve complex to generally flare, and turn the path of my nerves into blisters at each vertebral terminus from my spine ( generally confined mostly to one side of my body at a time, and not symmetrically.)
WARNING ⚠️ IMAGES 7 & 8 ( THE LAST 2) ARE OF MY FOOT WOUND. It is a bit gnarly to see, but WAY WAY better than it has been for the last year...and major progress is being made! Yay!.

I said I wasn't going to do one this year... but the people have spoken, so yesterday we had a 3.5 HOUR LONG, FISHTORY FORECAST FOR 2026!

This is probably my longest livestream in years, and after about 9 minutes into the video, I actually stayed focused and on track for the entire show. From which fish species are the new 🔥 popular picks, and which old favorites will remain the object of desire in this changing hobby.

I spoke on trends impacting fish globally, conflict and which fish will be available vs which regions are likely to cease exporting fish. We talked about big box pet store trends, LFS , ONLINE Fish stores and the brands and technology that you are most likely to see growing in 2026.

From the style of tanks kept, to the price of "bread and butter" fish changing, and the gap between high end LFS service vs places like live aquaria.... what species are consumers going to purchase when they are cash strapped and fighting high inflation ?

What are the best species to breed for profit, which types of fish will be most desirable, and on the other hand- which fish SHOULD even be caught as we face the danger of losinf nearly 35% of all freshwater fish species

Okay okay you guys made me cave! Tomorrow will be the 8th annual "Fishtory Forecast" What will be Hot in the Hobby? Which Fish, Shrimp, & Inverts are New and Exciting, and as always: What are the BEST FISH TO BREED FOR PROFIT IN 2026!

I apologize for skipping the stream at 5pm pacific today, but I have decided this tradition of giving a Hobby Forecast is on 8 years! ( That's enough time to become my legal spouse in some USA states!).
