I said I wasn't going to do one this year... but the people have spoken, so yesterday we had a 3.5 HOUR LONG, FISHTORY FORECAST FOR 2026!

This is probably my longest livestream in years, and after about 9 minutes into the video, I actually stayed focused and on track for the entire show. From which fish species are the new 🔥 popular picks, and which old favorites will remain the object of desire in this changing hobby.

I spoke on trends impacting fish globally, conflict and which fish will be available vs which regions are likely to cease exporting fish. We talked about big box pet store trends, LFS , ONLINE Fish stores and the brands and technology that you are most likely to see growing in 2026.

From the style of tanks kept, to the price of "bread and butter" fish changing, and the gap between high end LFS service vs places like live aquaria.... what species are consumers going to purchase when they are cash strapped and fighting high inflation ?

What are the best species to breed for profit, which types of fish will be most desirable, and on the other hand- which fish SHOULD even be caught as we face the danger of losinf nearly 35% of all freshwater fish species

Okay okay you guys made me cave! Tomorrow will be the 8th annual "Fishtory Forecast" What will be Hot in the Hobby? Which Fish, Shrimp, & Inverts are New and Exciting, and as always: What are the BEST FISH TO BREED FOR PROFIT IN 2026!

I apologize for skipping the stream at 5pm pacific today, but I have decided this tradition of giving a Hobby Forecast is on 8 years! ( That's enough time to become my legal spouse in some USA states!).

Hey friends, I wanted to let everyone know that we will be starting a series, which will eventually become a playlist as well- of EVERYTHING High Tech Planted Tank & Aquascaping You May Wang to Know!
This first episode is simply an unboxing of essentially the best aquascaping brands and hardware you could hope to use, ADA Japan & AFA San Francisco. These are the oldest and most well known aquascaping brands in the world. They are the Ferrari, Rolex and Rolls Royce of Aquarium Gear.
So first of all I want to thank ‪@aquaforestaquarium7001‬​ ‪@aquadesignamano‬​ for sending me the tip top of the line, cutting edge Aquarium Gear for this project! I couldn't do this to full effect without them.
Now I understand many other brands exist, from rimless tanks to co2 and you may have a wallet that demands searching for the best budget items, and I totally understand and respect that.
However, if you have the money: These brands are the luxury, high-tech and industrial design leaders in Aquatic hardware and tools. (Along with Archaea, UNS, Fluval, Do¡Aqua, DOOA, CO2 Arts and a select few others) are usually where the world's leading competition aquascapers buy their equipment.
So When asked by the very best to collaborate on a video about how to set up a natural and high tech aquascape "hybrid" Planted tank aquascape Aquarium, I JUMPED AT THE OPPORTUNITY!

13. Final photos: FAQ on contests, lighting, tips & tricks for final staging
14. Longevity and what to do when your scape has reached it's goal? Reset? Revive or Continue?!
