Just across a bridge from downtown Asheville and you can walk to historic Montford- one of the only truly walkable neighborhoods with tons of historic homes, parks, a historic cemetery, amphitheater, neighborhood favorite cafes and restaurants.
It’s a joy to walk the streets of Montford and look at all the beautiful gardens and homes.

Many people with kids complain that there’s not enough to do in Asheville on a rainy day. True, we have less options, but places like Asheville Pizza and Brewing Company is a nice little spot. Eat pizza (and other things from their menu) while watching reruns of older movies (Jaws are coming soon) or new ones (like Fantastic Four))

17 year event in Asheville- cicadas are almost everywhere and are like nature’s sound machine. They are harmless (from what I hear), don’t even have mouths so they cannot bite or eat🥲. Fascinating!
