Reminiscing on my #Jamaican Christmas breakfast😋. Did you know you can "fry dumpling" in the airfryer and eliminate all that oil?

In #JamaicanLanguage, we can quantify using the the following adjectives:
✳️ The number of the things (eg 1,2,3,4.....)
✳️ Wuopa/ Wuoliipa [transl. 'whole heap of'] and Nof which means MANY, SEVERAL, A LOT OF, PLENTY.... in English
✳️ English adjective 'some' is also 'som' in #Patois.
Eg Som pus blak an som pus brown {Some kittens are black and some kittens are brown}

NB In these cases the noun 'pus', remains in a singular form. Using the adjective allows us to identify the phrase 'som pus' , 'nof pus' or even 'ten pus' as being plural.
