What else can’t Keanu do?
Keanu Reeves published his first novel last year in collaboration with British author China Miéville.

Their joint novel, The Book of Elsewhere, is set in the world of the BRZRKR comic book series created by Reeves and first published in 2021. It follows an immortal warrior on a millennia-long journey to understand his immortality.

Keanu Reeves said it was “extraordinary” to work with Miéville. “China did exactly what I was hoping for – he came in with a clear architecture for the story and how he wanted to play with the world of BRZRKR, a world that I love so much. I was thrilled with his vision and feel honoured to be a part of this collaborative process.”

Miéville’s novels include The City & The City, Embassytown, and Perdido Street Station. He is the only writer to have won the Arthur C. Clarke Award for science fiction three times.

“Sometimes the greatest games are those you play with other people’s toys,” said Miéville of the collaboration. “It was an honour, a shock, and a delight when Keanu invited me to play. But I could never have predicted how generous he’d be with the toys he’s spent so long creating,” he added.

Hours ago, my uncle suddenly passed away. In the phone call, my mother and I cried together.
When I opened his social media, his profile picture was still the same grassy path in our hometown, a path that seemed to carry the fragrance of earth.
My uncle lost both his parents when he was 14 and began living on his own. From that day forward, he worked tirelessly—every single day of his life—never allowing himself to rest. He was diligent, loyal to his family, upright, and kind. In his entire life, he never argued with anyone.
Many children who were not his own called him “Father,” because in him they saw what a father should be.
I will never forget my uncle and his wife’s wedding day. Both of them were beaming with joy. Now, at long last, they have grown old together.
My uncle’s greatest legacy is his character. We, the younger generation, will carry forward this precious inheritance and let it light our way ahead.
