Despite a record-shattering launch that surpassed 10 million units sold by September, the Nintendo Switch 2 has faced it's first challenge, a holiday lull, with US sales trailing 35% behind the OG Switch’s first holiday period, with sales down 16% in the UK and 30% in France.
In America, this dip occurred during the gaming market's worst November on record, which is usually lucrative for these companies due to Black Friday sales, etc. The fact is that people will not take to aggressive pricing during a tumultuous economy and will (and hopefully, should) be instead focus spending on the essentials only.
