May Round-Up! 🌸A little peek into the beautiful moments that made up this past month - full of connection, creativity, and a whole lot of heart 💛

1. Dinner & catch-ups with my special dog mom friend and her furchild! Always so grateful for soul-nourishing conversations and the joy our pups bring. Bailey loved every minute with his bestie 🐾

2. Filming and editing furiously on my new and very exciting secret project! This one has me buzzing with excitement - I’ve poured so much into it and can’t wait to share it with you soon! 🎬✨

3. Working on another inspiring women-led project with a photoshoot in the desert. This was fun - creating something meaningful under the Dubai sun🌵📸

4. Seeing some of the beautiful and moving photos from my sister-in-law’s wedding in the Kruger Park. Still swooning! So special to relive it through the photos. 💍🦁

5. A moment from the Stellar Strum Along! There’s nothing like coming together to play, laugh, and grow as a Stellar fam. These are the moments that remind me why I love what I do. 🎸🌟

This past week has been a bit of a rollercoaster! 🎢

I was down with a terrible cold, which unfortunately meant I couldn’t record a new YouTube lesson. But the week ended on a high with my birthday weekend! 🎉

Thankfully, I was feeling much better by then, so we packed up and headed to a beach resort for two days. My birthday wish came true - quality time with my hubby and pup Bailey, delicious pizza, and a glass (or two 😉) of wine. 🍕🍷☀️

For all the newcomers (and those who’ve been here from the start), I thought it would be fun to reintroduce myself and share a few things you may not know about me. Thanks for being here– I’m so grateful for each of you! 💫
 
1. I’m a huge dog lover! 🐶 I recently became a dog mom to Bailey, my goofy boy who keeps me entertained and gives me 24/7 cuddles.

2. If I weren’t a guitar teacher, I’d probably be a therapist – I’m passionate about helping people. I've always been told I'm empathetic, and I truly feel that my calling is to support others.

3. I was born in South Africa but have been living in Dubai for the past 4 years! I love the warm weather and year-round sunshine. ☀️

4. I started learning the guitar when I was 7 years old – and it was love at first strum. I still vividly remember holding the guitar for the first time and feeling a deep sense of peace and connection.

5. I’ve taught students from all over the world! My online guitar courses have reached hundreds of students across the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Spain, France, Australia, New Zealand, and beyond.

6. The first song I learned on guitar was "The Wise Man Built His House" – a children’s Christian song with just D and A chords. I remember playing it over and over again!

7. When I'm not teaching or playing guitar, I’m likely reading or painting. I love getting lost in a good historical fiction book or painting to an amazing playlist.

8. I can also play a bit of bass, piano, and drums. Back when I was a full-time music teacher in South Africa, I taught these instruments for 7 years! It was fun to mix things up.

9. Favorite food? Definitely pizza! 🍕 I could probably eat it every day and never get tired of it.

10. Fun fact: I’ve created over 200 song tutorials on my YouTube channel. Helping my followers learn to play their favourite songs is one of the best parts of my job!
